Dear pubbies: Stalking outside of the game = Not ok.

1. For the last time, I'm not a bot. I'm a new player. I'm currently in the queue to be interviewed to join E-UNI. Regardless, my corp standing is irrelevant.

She's making a reference to past incidents, not this one. You're making it seem as if there have been threats against The Mittani (and his dog) IRL as a result of this incident, of which there is zero evidence.

I may have been more right than I initially thought.

So, no threats as of this incident? OK, I can bite. But I stand by that "The Mittani" does provide an experience vital to the game. don't take that as "I'm a latent fan of Goones" just that his leadership has provided the experience. Before, it was BOB, now, its Gooneswarm.

A sockpuppet is a new char created by an experienced player in order to hide their identity.

In the case of Mittani-haters, it's usually someone from one of the nullsec corps that goons are const at war with or one of the playesr who were using illegal bot sto play the game for them -- Mittani lead a army against them a while back, and the fat bastards will never forgive us for it.

A bot is someone who doesn't like EVE enough to actually bother playing it themselves, but still wants to be a rich internet spaceships pilot and generally ruin the game for everyone else in the name of their own e-peen.

You can see a majority of the former in the 100 page thread ranting about how mean Mittani is, they keep posting, over and over, making up crap like how PVPing in a video game is actually illegal cyber bullying and other stupid crap

I can't believe I'm agreeing with a goon. Threats are stupid and uncalled for. If you have a problem with the guy, go figure out how to gank his internet spaceships.

This is not out of the realm of possibility.

There are a lot of people out there willing to exploit this incident to get rid of mittens.

I also do not doubt that there are some sick individuals out there who cannot distinguish that just because he messed up and said something hurtful to someone else, that it's not okay for them to harass him in real life.

People who would stalk or make threats to someone in real life over an online game need serious serious psychological help (starting with a straight jacket and a lifetime supply of Thorazine). Doesn't matter who started it or said what to who or even who pissed in who-evers corn flakes. It's a game. You play it on the Internet. Keep it there.

I won't say you are stupid, but you're not exactly on the Zombie menu either.

Cause out of +8000 members, one would assume that a good number are there just to play pirate and are not extreme like the 30 or so that tollollol the threads. Take at benefit of the doubt, sort out the truth when it comes out, don't hand over isk to join a corp.
