The problem there is you're ignoring the possibility of future lawsuits in which the victim does give a rat's ass. And sues. CCP won't make the same mistake you are though.


Once Mittani issued a public apology and indicated that he was absolutely NOT in favor of harassing The Wiz (formally rescinding his previous stupid comment), and considering that no harassment took place in the meantime that would absolve Mittani from any legal issues.

As much as you'd like to blow this up into a huge drama, there is little chance of that.


And I just keep wondering... What is worse? The actual drunken comments that The Mittani made or these insidious attempts to usurp and destroy a guy who took responsibility, apologized publicly and from all intents and purposes (from my observation) is genuinely sorry.

Seriously what's worse? Opportunism from this incident or the incident itself?


Guarantee you 90% of the people here have said some much worse ****, I know I have in the heat of the moment.

And that is exactly why CCP will have to ban The Mittani. Because in a way, inciting thousands of people to grief someone until the victim commits suicide is worse than telling someone "go kill yourself" on forums. I believe people have been banned for exactly that.

They may very well decide to do that, at their own discretion. They are certainly under no legal duress in this matter, no harassment actually took place.
