I have a list of over 20 players who would also qualify for bans if Mittens is banned. Thats just from the last few weeks of my mails, if I look further back Im sure the tally of death threat issueing players will be far higher. If we permaban everyone who gives out death threats - worse than what mittens is accused of - there will be very few players left in null sec.

MIttens may well be resigning from csm chair. Will there be massive retribution from the CFC? Possibly. What shape will it take? I would imagine the massive destruction of property belonging to the people calling for his head, this will no doubt include massive amounts of hisec peoples isk.

This is of course not a call for this to happen, I am not an important person in the CFC, but I imagine that would be the order of the day. This is not a threat, since I am not asking for such a thing, just saying it may happen.

On a positive note I got my first "like" in this thread. Now at least one player (not my alt) likes me and it helps me to cope with suicidal tendencies P

It has nothing to do with the timing of events. It has everything to do with the huge copy of the EVE Mail in question plastered on the screen for all to read during his presentation... in fact, Alex read it aloud to the crowd.

Yeah, I'd say he and everyone else was well aware of Wis making light of his "wish for death" comment... but let's sit back and watch everyone here continue to ignore that.

Gosh all this role playing is fun.

Personally, I think that the solution to this next year is to just not broadcast any of the fanfest events where alcohol is involved as people on the internets seem to analyse every sentence that is said in a non-serious player (and alcohol) driven event.

I'm guessing that what will actually happen is next year there will be no alliance panel, no quiz and no battle of the bands, just in case this crap happens again. If you can't play nice then CCP will take your toys away from you.

Lets not forget that it opens the door to it happening again if they do nothing to stop it now. And next time we might not be so lucky. We were lucky this got quashed so fast and that people notice the ramifications of what alex did.

This is not a situation where we have to wait for a dead body. We already have real world examples of this happening and how to prevent it. Lets not play games with peoples lives when we could easily and simply not have a tragedy happen by enforcing punishment on the issue.

My read on this is simple. The Mittani Apology was merely an attempt by said person to get out from under the heat his conduct has generated and save his place on the CSM, if he can.

The thunderous silence of CCP is indicative, in my view, of an attempt to wait for uproar this event has caused to dissipate. It is my impression, that for some reason, CCP seems to actually want to keep this guy on the CSM and thus are delaying a judgement with an eye towards riding this out without removing him.

Also, with the way Devs are locking threads on this left, right and center, the intent seems more to squelch discussion of the matter by paying customers, rather than a desire on the part of CCP to actually listen to the people that financially make the continuation of EVE possible,

Simply put, the Mittani does not get it, and CCP does not seem to either. I would be very happy to be proven wrong on both these points.
