Nope that's just me. I haven't even started yet. Also these forums suck donkey schlong

Yeah, desperate times and all. So how long do you think it will be before CCP stops deleting each individual goonie crap post and just bans you from forums for a while? I think not long, seeing all of the effort they had to put in removing all of the goonie "kill yourself" posts already from this thread. I can almost feel the lack of patience from here.

Where will I shitpost then? Maybe Kugs, or Fyad. (FYAD is a subforum on SA that means **** you and Die fyi)

They said in statement that it was always supposed to be open forum and the public presenters were expected to keep the posts to within the areas of proper conduct. As such, they were not reviewed. CCP has had dealing with the Goons/test people before, and am sure they were not expecting the comments that did come out.

It's sort of a strange collision of ideas - Fanfest as the drunken party/vacation and Fanfest as the livestreamed official CCP event. Not vetting live presentations and not caring if your presenters are very nearly falling-down drunk was going to come back and bite them in the ass at some point, Mittani or otherwise. I think it's safe to say that this is the last year of "unfiltered" presentations on live streams, no matter what else happens.

Yeah, drunk people, and official televised event, PR disaster waiting to happen!

There will most definitely be a 30 minute delay or so on 'live' video from CCP in the future, I think.

Personally, I refrained writing an article over this because further bad press on this issue would just shed an undeserved bad light on the game and it's community.

That's exactly why a resignation would be appropriate. Words and apologies are cheap. If one really wants to own up to his actions he should face the full consequences of those actions.

Even looking beyond what it actually happened, I would be ashamed to be represented by someone that steps on a televised panel during a full expenses paid trip in a drunken state, without concern for the reputation of those he represents.

Okay, I admit my posting in this thread sucked.

I should never have made the mistake of relying on logic and fact to counter hysteria and misinformation... bad puns seem to be far more effective. At least then they stop posting crap for awhile until they can stop groaning about them. Ugh

Appologies if meant are never cheap.

Saying words are cheap leads to the logical conclusion that what he said that started this is also cheap and therefore worthless of consideration which therefore negates the need for him to step down.

He will face the full consequences of his actions if CCP sanction him for his behaviour if it is appropriate to do so. He may even face them in the future with employees or even prospective employess in this day and age of net checks.

I am not a defender nor someone calling for it, I am trying to keep my personal thoughts of what should happen over this out of it as they are irrelevant to what the decision by CCP may be. I have said however I do not think the behaviour acceptable, and that is as far as I am willing to go on it.

Logic has no place on the Internet, you should know that by now! Much better to go for hysteria.

CCP Guard is probably sat waiting on the lock button on this thread as soon as possible.

Honestly Mittens giving an apology is a major break of the "Smuggo" character he's created over the last several years.

I'm actually surprised it wasn't locked already.

I'd honestly like to know why Riverini is still going on with this defamation against Mittani. You lost Riverini, stop being a sore loser, you lame ass loser.

Wrong, there are two parallel threads totaling over 240 pages, it already has.

They locked most, but left the two major ones up. They have become the main, and really it is needed to keep things civil. For the most part, I am surprized, even some goons have come in level discussion. Is why I keep posting here. I don't like things that can be detrimental to eve, which is the only online game I have ever played longer than three months. Until then, I will continue talking, and stating opinions in regards to others. So in a few days, when CSM said the official announcement comes out, will be interesting, and people who come on the forums to gawk at what we say will be disappointed in how not trollollol it is.

There is a large difference between "hysteria and misinformation" and simple, clear cut calls for someone guilty of an unacceptable social and professional behavior to face the actual consequences of what he did, instead of just saying "sorry I was drunk" and hoping to get away with a wirstslap.

His sizable dislike of Mittens/anything Goon related goes back well before the election.

agreed.

i was there, when i left i felt a line had been crossed, i turned to a friend who was with me on his first fanfest and asked, was that a little ott ?

he replied " i've seen drunkin 13 year olds act more responsible "

i've watched the video over and over, if this was in an apartment or a hotel room or in a pub at fanfest it would be all drunk shite talk and ranting, but it wasn't !

it was on a live stream which thousands watched.

Tbf, I actually have a small amount of respect for Mittani atm. Not for his actions at FF, but rather the fact that he has made his apology, done all the correct steps so far, and left it at that. No falling to any baiting, or getting in to forum arguements, just accepting it & taking things as they are, and go, so far

I think most of the actual (by which I mean rational, unselfishly motivated) disagreement is over what an appropriate consequence is.
