With reference to the thread asking for action to be taken against The Mittani
(using an alt as it seems to be the in thing)

I watched the alliance stream, to me it was clear he was mocking and making fun
of an in game character who threatened to suicide over loss of spaceships to a
gank, He only revealed the character name and no real life information was given.

So my question is this, part of why I still play this game is the "no limits"
anything goes in game, you can grief you can con and scam no silly imposed
limits of real life ethics or morals a perfect sandbox of human nature good
and bad.

If you can succeed in eve, if you can deal with it all and kick ass then well done.

IF the Mittani gets kicked or scapegoat for this, how many of us will see it as
a dangerous precedent and see eve as less?


Also please note the talk some one had with the offended person and notice how alive and unbothered by the whole event.

This is nothing that had not happened hundreds of times this month in c+p. Whole lotta fuss over nothing.

This whole thing is a disgusting and cynical attempt by The Mittani's enemies to defeat him out of game since they have been unable to in-game.

It's making CCP look bad by allowing it to go on.

More and more this looks like a scam to get decent people to send a mittens sock puppet isk for pitty. I mean read that Bio on the guy.

What hurts about this is it will turn good people bad. This is the kind of scam that gets thousands of real needy people on the street getting passed by. Good people get scammed, that's normal but this will probably turn into a "now I got you you son of a *****" game as Mittens announce his alt. That's when the real scars will be carved.

Actually, griefing is against policy and can get you banned. I have never witnessed this rule enforced, but it's there none the less. It seems clear that it has to be quite blatant and severe for CCP to get involved...and this event may qualify. It pushes the bounds to me anyway.

It makes perfect sense actually. Can CCP actually afford some runaway virtual thug decide that some of their customers can be hassled until they stop being customers? It certainly doesn't make a lot of business sense.

I think that I can safely say that I wouldn't find the game any less entertaining if CCP decides alliance leaders are not allowed orchestrate a mob attempt to harp on peoples' emotional problems with the goal of getting them to suicide. That's not a necessary feature of a game I want to play actually. Stick to the actual game! Honestly, why do you need this to be allowed in order to have fun in EvE? Do you really NEED to be able to talk a thousand people into telling someone to kill themselves in order to have fun??? If so, I find that rather sad and fear what you'll look for next when that gets boring.

Isn't mittens a master meta spy?

Has blog on tentonhammer.com called sins of a solar spymaster? Just saying meta gaming is encouraged...and this is on the forums so... technically still part O the game... Both games.
