I could prove it to you, but unlike the douchebag that wanted to kill himself over a video game, I'll go ahead and keep my personal life out of a video game and just tell you that yes, I actually believe that thinking about killing yourself makes you literally a waste of sperm.

Life is hard, sometimes it sucks, sometimes, your island gets rocked by an earthquake that kills millions, sometimes you get hit by a Tsunami, or you have a dictator for a leader who kills your family in some demonstration of his power.

If you have a computer, a home, and the internet to play games from, your life is not that bad (and far better off than the people i gave examples of) and you are just basically a big drama queen looking for attention, and anybody that feeds you that attention just reinforces the fact that acting like a drama queen gets you attention.

Bragging/laughing about scamming/******* over people has always been done in eve. Just look at c+p forum at all the people who get insulted and told to DIAF and 'kill yourself now' etc etc.

Its no different. Except that in this case its being blown out of proportion because some carebears cant find any other way to get mittani off csm

They must permanently ban Alexander Gianturco (Mittani) - CCP need to send a strong message.

On what?

That its players cannot joke (badly) about mails they get? That getting drunk before doing a speach might not be a good idea?

I have watched the panel and quite frankly all of you people bitching about this sound exactly the same as the people who bitched about clarkson when he said strikers should be shot. Its your own sense of humour failing and PC mad ramblings you should look at here. The only ones deserving of a ban are all of the alt posters trying to stir **** all the time about Goons.

You forgot the part where he can afford to pay for 23 miner bot accounts, which is what, $15 each for the accounts, $15 each for the bot program, so $690 a month?

idk, CCP doesn't really have much choices. Idiot mistake cost Mittani his CSM chair. Such is life in public places, one moment you can be the wizard, next moment just the court jester.

Goon damage control is also starting to look rather tired and desperate. I haven't had anything against Goons before this day, quite the contrary, but guys maybe it's time to stop posting, you are making Mittani's situation only worse.

That was a pretty good read. At least it wasn't the same article repeated at every other site so far.

actually its a huge PR win. CCP gets tons of free publicity over this...

Was collumbine a PR disaster for KMFDM or Manson? no. KMFDM especially got huge profits from the publicity.

Edit; wrong name in quote =p sorry mang

I don't claim to be a lawyer but he was at a game related function which does fall under the TOS/EULA and as such, should be censured for what he did.

Go look that up, actually. Cyber bullying laws are almost exclusively limited to youths in school.

it could be argued that he was encouraged to get drunk (pretty much the theme of fanfest tbh) and wasnt thinking clearly.

but again, look at crime+punishment section. every other thread has someone telling another guy to kill himself. Its a common internet 'jab'. If one of them happens to actually be suicidal, am i suddenly in trouble?

Just imagine the amount of harassment this guy's going to get now that you carebears have made such a big scene over it. If anything does happen to mittani, imagine who anonymous/4chan/reddit will blame for it

I couldn't give a damn about that at all.

And to be up front, I have nothing against any goons.

BUT, I do have an issue with the callous, insulting and plain despicable conduct Mittani had shown.

Oh, also, Mittens was asked by a member of the audience for his name, that was what led to the 'if you want to make this guy kill himself, his name is The Wis' - that was the ONLY time he, even jokingly, asked people to contact him.

It's obviously you aren't a lawyer, otherwise you'd know that it doesn't fall under the TOS/EULA and as such, Mittani is in the clear.

Yes. You should care about your liberties. People should be allowed to say whatever the **** they want and not have to worry about if they're going to offend the wrong person.

The whole ******* world needs to grow up.

"sticks and stones will break my bones, but names will never hurt me" ever hear your mother tell you that? If people could grasp this concept, there would be fewer problems in the world. We shouldn't go punishing people because you "feel bad".

Killing yourself is the single greatest act of cowardice you can commit, even considering it makes you literally the the most useless human on earth, when there are people who suffer through insurmountable odds, the greatest tragedies that life can offer, and still manage to somehow get up every morning without ending themselves.

Suicidal thoughts should literally be met with scorn and ridicule at every possible chance, because if you've reached that point, then the world as a whole is better off with your genes removed from the pool.

So, what's next? You will tell us that poor people, the infirm and minorities should be prosecuted too because they can do no better?
