It's an honest question, as there is not really any difference between the two, but do you know why there is a difference in preference? And how that came to be?

Off topic but interesting:

Two of Britain's greatest writers have chipped in on this classic historical debate, with opposing views.

George Orwell on tea
Douglas Adams on tea

OP It will be a moot point when the Samfélag fyrir íslenska menningu (Society for Icelandic Culture) succeeds in getting the government of Iceland to pass that law they want where all products made in Iceland use the Icelandic language only. Big smile

Might I ask why you subjugate the people who can spell and pronounce the language correctly to such fallacy? Why am I forced to spell like an American when I am English? I cannot comprehend why, I, as an Englishman, am forced to improperly spell my native language.

Discuss.

Because first we kicked you out of our country, then we took over your empire.

As an American, I would like to thank your countrymen for keeping our nation's head warm during the winter months.

But on a serious note, I do not know why I am forced to spell like a foreigner within my own language, I feel like there should be an Oxford English Localisation for those of us who cannot and will not adapt to another style of English.

The word Americanism in the context you use it is itself Americanism.

I'm canadian and we spell it Armor.... except for our americanized military anyway.

The USA should have its own localization for these things. The majority of the world doesn't spell it this way.

Canadians spell it "armour" just like the english do. "Armor" is listed as an alternative spelling in the Canadian Oxford. Shrug.

Wow, a lot of brain-dead yanks and euro's in here

@ yanks, just because you're lazy and can only seem to wrap your head around things when they're spoken slowly and phonetically doesn't mean the rest of the english speaking world should have to learn EnglishLite to get through EVE market smoothly

@ euro's, jesys christ. America won the war like 400 years ago, get over it already. Let them spell funny and talk loudly if they want

@ CCP, holy crap you make this game irritating for anyone who learned English, could you please for the love of god read my windows localisation file like every other piece of software on the market does, then just use that to determine what spelling certain items should have?

There, problem solved with no adverse effect for any player. Now all CCP have to do is implement it

There should be a rather awesome pic here

You are just jealous that your language doesn't require breathing the glorious air of freedom.

Now if you excuse me I'm going to go eat a Liberty Sandwich with a side of Freedom Fries at good, pure, and democratic McDonald's.

Had you won the war against the poorly equiped farmers, then you would not have to worry about America but since we kicked the crap out of you pansy Englishman, you will have to deal with re learning your own language we stole from you and butched.

Americans are just wondering when the English are going to finally give up and just become the 51st state, its not like the UK is much of a country anymore.

Also We do not speak English in America, we speak American. American is a mix of english, slang, ebonics and made up stuff.

Well I can't speak for all Americans, but everybody in Colorado is pretty much illiterate and we all ride buffalos around everywhere. How about cutting us some slack? We don't even know the difference between the queens english and 'merica spanglish.
