Its because most gankers are cowards that perfer easy kills from players that can't or don't want to shoot back. That and its easy isk.

They die in an actual fight, hense why they come to high for the easy kills off players that have no interest in pvp.

And with the bounty system broken, they know there is absolutely no risk!

The ganker looses their ship and sec status, so to say "absolutely no risk" is to say "I put absolutely no thought into it".
And you say it's "easy isk", which is bragging about your own risk to reward. Shame shame.

Risk gankers don't want to take is actually losing to player. Losing your T1 destroyer/battlecruiser to NPC isn't problem for you. For example if you fly Cane and if you even see Curse in same system you run away like a girl.

If I, as a ganker, am already resigned to losing my ship why would I care if it was from another player or from Concord?

I don't hate miners.

Just the ones who whine on the forums when they get killed and don't do anything about it other than whine on the forums. And miners aren't the only ones I hate for doing this.

However, I do feel sorry for the one or two ice miners that don't bot or afk, cause that is mind killing boring.

What miners should do to protect themselves?

Well, in my time in EVE, when I have chosen to mine, I've only ever been the target of a suicide gank once, but my drones and concord killed him before my shields were down. You can see it on my killboard if you sift through the pod/ship loses.

Do you know... why I hate miners?

I'd like to share with you... a revelation... I've had during my time here. It came to me when I tried to classify miners as a species. I... realized that they're not actually mammals. Every mammal in this galaxy instinctively develops a natural equilibrium with the surrounding environment but miners do not. They move to an area and multiply and multiply until every natural resource is consumed. The only way they can survive... is to spread to another area. There is another organism in this galaxy that follows the same pattern. Do you know what it is? A virus. Miners are a... disease, a cancer of this universe. They are a plague, and we... are the cure.

I... hate this place. This... zoo, this prison, this asteroid belt, whatever you want to call it. I can't stand it any longer. It's the smell, if there is such a thing. I feel saturated by it. I can taste the stink of miners, and every time I do, I fear I have been infected by it.

Stop mining while alt-tabbed out doing something else. No bubbles in high-sec means exhumers are 100% safe if you are paying attention.

Can always warp out, agent Smith didn't have that option.

I'm a career miner and I love it. But unlike some miners floating around Eve, I'm not risk averse. I mine in systems that I know are hot beds for ship destruction and I want to profit from the destruction of ships in general. The only people I hate around here are the kind of miners that think they are entitled to a pure My-Little-Pony/Risk-Free-Carebear system of mining in high-sec.

I know what you're gonna say.

Q: "But Henry, aren't you in an NPC corp where war-decs are avoided? Wouldn't that make you risk-averse?"
A: No. I live in an NPC corp because I want to get away from the station-docking-games shenanigans that high-sec wardecs seem to present. Besides, while mining, I run the risk of one day facing a ganker whose ship is fitted with one purpose in mind: to lose it to Concord while inflicting as much alpha damage as possible on my ship in the limited time available before Concord arrives. I mine with one purpose in mind: to survive. Therefore, I always sacrifice yield for better tank.

Q: "But Henry, if you want to mine with the best defense possible, why not mine with a battleship?"
A: Like that's gonna make a difference? If gankers want to kill my ship, they will stop at nothing to ensure my destruction even if they get not returns from it.

Q: "Don't you find it ironic that gankers are using the ships that you made to gank you with?"
A: Irony is fun. But you know what's more fun? Seeing them pay you to get ganked as they buy those ships from you. They have effectively reimbursed my losses. Twisted
