UI... WHEN

I think that looks a lot better than what we have now.

Is that column on the right the overview? It would be cool if a new overview looked like that while displaying the same amount of information as the current one.

It would also be cool to have a nicely animated UI.

EDIT: This would be a great opportunity to give the UI new sound effects as well. The current sounds are pretty grating, in my opinion.

and all i can scream is WHEN, that looks so much better than what we have, i mean it needs more work and more done i think, but its such a step up from what we have.... and since i didnt see the full keynote and cant find the roundtables records anywhere yet... i have to ask

WHEN?!?!?

tbh to me this screenshot looks really old in terms of aesthetics

just look at the color scheme, the sunken module buttons, lack of overview (return of the auto-scanner, lol?), and even switching between high/mid/low slots seems to make some sort of comeback (I assume the red background means that low slots are hidden?), almost expecting the old serif font and that 3d tactical view to go along with it^^

ever since I started playing in 2008 the eve UI has progressed towards very clean "flat" look - most changes were incremental but I think if you would put an Empyrean Age client next to a Crucible client the difference would be extremely noticeable.
This screenshot almost seems like a step in the opposite direction (it's really hard to describe what makes me feel like that but the shading of selected drones and the sunken module buttons are probably the biggest culprits).
