For those who missed the last one - all the matches from Alliance Tournament VII, VIII and IX are available on CCP's YouTube channel.

No, they bloody well aren't!
The qualifiers from ATIX are not available on said channel.

They were never recorded so why would they be?

After the utterly pitiful farce of the last one?

Thank you, no.

Star Wars: the Old Republic may not be EVE. But I'll take the sound of dual blaster-pistols over "NURVV CLAOKING NAOW!!!11oneone!!" any day of the week.

The alliance tournament lost its fun after last year. If they adjust the rules to avoid last years debacle, then it might be worth getting involved with.

Randomized groups? Punitive actions for match-fixing between competitors? Punitive actions for conga-lines and similar?

In other words, are you actually going to take steps to ensure a real competition, or are we going to watch a scripted pretend-competition like last year's, in which the winners, and how the prizes would be divvied-up, were already determined BY THE PARTICIPANTS? Because while I'm sure they chortled their way off the field after it was all done, it was not an enjoyable spectacle for the rest of us. And in no ways did they deserve to then be given those prizes that were awarded.

Show us those big brains, CCP. Other competitions have developed ways to prevent, and punish, those who cheat their way to victory. While we might acknowledge the metagame, it has no place in this competition.

The last year was an utter disappointment. You have a chance to make it right this time. Don't waste it.

Punitive actions in Eve? Are you playing the same game I am? The finals sucked, but everything else was fine.

The Alliance PvP Tournament being a special case, and cited as a showcase of PvP prowess amongst well-funded teams, I think a special-case allowance for punitive actions in the tournie, to discourage metagaming and predetermined winners, ought at least be discussed. I am, obviously, for it, in order that the tournie not be a gamed mechanism of alliance funding, but rather an actual, hard-fought competition.

Are you against it? For what reason?

Just get the garbage 5 man matches out.

I didn't like a ton of the changes, but I can accept that they won't be changed.

However, the concept of the Alliance Tournament being reduced to 5 man teams was a farce.
