The problem I see is that it will greatly increase T2 Invention costs making T2 BPO holders be able to control price even more. Of course this will raise prices on T2 ships and modules in general.

The question is... Is this a good or bad thing? And for who?

So from the faction warfare stage, basically R/D agents are gonna be nerfed. Double the research points and an isk fee to get them.

In exchange, datacores will be available from racial faction warfare LP stores!

Looks like alot of datacores have been bought up already!

In my opinion it would be unacceptable to trash the existing RP system as not only did many people train specific skills, but many of us grinded missions for weeks to get the appropriate standing with the agent we wanted. If this is just an expansion of the existing RP system alowing FW to have a path for RP I have no problem with it.

so theyre looking to remove research is what this says to me...

either you do it through FW or we make yuo do it this other way where its not economiocally viable...

a good ting for those that control the BPOs. Id have said BoB back in the day, now Im guessing the Russians or Goons

So wheres does CCP say this? Id like to see a link assuming this isnt the OP just spitballing

"Is it fair that CCP can get away with..." :: checks ownership on the box ::

But allowing datacores to be bought for LP will ensure that supply can be ramped up to meet demand. The current supply model is very slow to react to the market changes.

My point is make it something active, that consumes time and resources. Passive flows don't take much in the way of time as input cost. Any activity that consumes time, but does not generate ISK, is going to be good for the macro economy at this stage.

Demanding resources, could be an interesting aspect, but in reality, I highly doubt people are going to start rushing into research as a main playstyle, even if it did pay as much as mission runners, or miners make per month.

Right now im training 2 alts to run missions for Amarr and Caldari, in a nutshell, Im just not thrilled enough to start it up, even if it would cost me something like 4 hours and done with it.

they would need to tread carefully not to chase to many people away, as a primary priority.

Maybe set a timer, where people have to pick up their goods at a certain time of the month, universally, this would give pirates something extra to look forward to.
