My POS in a WH is being attacked. I received mail saying the shield was at 97%, but when I click manage POS it shows at 99%. My question is is there a delay in the amount of time manage POS takes to update? I got about 10 BCs attacking my medium dickstar POS setup. Thanks for any responses.

Yes, there is a delay.

Have you tried pos gunnery yet?

Nope. Dont have that trained up yet. They left however. Definitely a wake up call to knock that out as soon as possible though. =)

The management page is really unreliable for shield status. You often have to warp off-grid or logout and login again before you notice a change. Targeting the control tower from outside the force field and mouseover are now the best way.

Keep a few guns anchored and offline. Even if you can't use them, it is a deterrent.

When you can use them, you could devastate a small gang solo with Starbase Defense 4. Nearly everybody in my corp has it trained on a main or alt (we used to live in a C5). My accounts alone can control 16 Twisted

Lucky for you they were probably trying to see if anybody would respond, so they could get a fight. It isn't really practical to attack a medium or large POS with BCs, unless you have a lot of patience.

Also make sure to anchor some large mobile warp disruption bubbles around your pos. Just make sure to make a couple of warp in bookmarks to ensure you don't get caught in one. When I used to have a large pos setup in null sec I would catch lookie loos in my pos all the time. Just make sure to have some small gun batteries setup to catch the smaller ships.
