2 short PvP video´s from someone completely new to making them.

Well after seeing all the video´s about people engaging outnumbered and getting kills while getting away, I wanted to try too.

I do admit to copying what garmon does on the solo rupture vid on the EveisEasy site, which is going to EC- .

And these are just 2 short youtube videos of the fights I got there, the second one are both shorter and I´m only killing tackle from gangs in it.

Keep in mind I have never done either kiting / frapsing / editing when watching.

I would welcome any help to get better at either of those three.

Reuploaded it, improved resolution and got rid of the black bars covering the lower part of the video.


This is more of a couple of learning videos for myself that I´d though I would share and maybe get some tips.

The editing part I do realize leaves much to be improved, but I thought I would try to improve as I go.

First Vid: First engagement looked solid. Not sure what was going on with the ranges since the overview was a bit hard to read but he ended up 80km off you at one point midfight??? Still cool and quite close too.

I'd definitely look out for more vids from you but I'd recommend you find a way to make them less blurry since it makes it easier to see the detail (and overview in particular). fraps at same res as your eve client and then render your projects at the same size as well. This usually is enough.

And as for apologising for doing what Garmon did in his eveiseasy clip, it's no big deal... The advice he gave there is classic solid tactical practice and you took that and made it work for you in 3 hours of EC- action so there's nothing to apologise for there ^___^

I've only watched the first video so far, and I love how you keep going from encounter to encounter even with your ship streaming fire and smoke. You're Wild! Twisted

The resolution wasnt super great to begin with but you were able to see the distances and such, but youtube made them even worse I fear.

I was afraid that he was with the drake and didnt get to close in the beginning to see if the drake would warp in, and he kept burning away, so yes I think he did end up quite far away at the start.

That wasn't a criticism by the way, just meant what with the overview being a bit hard to see. That Rupture went down nicely :)

Uploaded the video to eve-files which hopefully makes it abit more viewable, but I cant really judge that.

It's an improvement on the youtube vid certainly. I can see he went 62 ish km not 80 something. Might want to play about with rendering options a bit to get it right but since I'm no expert I can't give any better advice sorry!

Still look forwards to seeing more so big up for these vids so far, I like them ♥

Awesome job Epoara!

It's really inspiring to see newer pvpers just getting out there and giving this sort of solo a shot. So many people wish they could do this sort of stuff, but never try for fear of failure. EVE needs more people like you :)

It's funny, so much about this video reminds me of Garmons early vids. The crappy video quality, the baller hero rupture action, the noobish editing lol, it's very reminiscent :)

My main points of advice are mainly around editing. Spend some time fiddling around and learning how to render your video in good quality, experiment with whatever software your using to learn how to do more graceful and sophisticated editing (this is something I am still learning a lot about too). Of course, the most important thing is quality footage, but that is something that comes with time, experience and learning. Though this is already a great effort for a first attempt at video making. Keep soloing, keep losing ships, keep learning from mistakes and I'm sure you'll be releasing awesome full feature pvp vids sometime in the future :)

Btw, no need to apologise for "copying" a style that someone else has flown in. There are very few truly original ways to solo left in EVE, and as far as I'm aware Garmon certainly didn't invent killing tacklers in a shield rupture :P
