I took a hiatus for a couple of months, and came back expecting at least SOME improvements/additions to Incarna, but alas, still nothing.

Where is the rest of Incarna? The best expansion to date needs to be completed! I want bars and such, modules where we can rent and start our own little shop, etc.!!!

due to massive protests by players & their wallets, space barbie devs and gms were laid off and space barbie was abandoned in favour of internet spaceships.

crucible was what we all hope to the be first of many expansions that improve the game... not change it into sims online in a room.

There is a nice threadnaught and a recent blog.

Blog details that they're working on Incana in a manner that makes sense.

Why add something on the grounds of just because?

When they're going to add things on the grounds what does it add to the game?

The threadnaught has been saying alot of stuff, stuff like security zones inside of stations. Untraditional near metagaming like PVP. As well as manufacutirng and establisment running with black market and oodles of more ideas.

Dev blog goes further to state the future of incarna, more specifically the places they want to go in the future.

Rest of the station, the Inside your ship, the star bases, eventually planetside as well.

At least I read the amarr-damned notes around here and try to keep up to date. Sheesh

Ohai vix, killing spaccers still?

The threadnaught is still coming up on the first page and has now reached an astonishing 191 pages. You can click on the DEV tags next to the developers who post there to get a general idea of what's going on. Like Nova said, there are tons of ideas being shared and the reason the threadnaught is there is because CCP appears to be keeping a close eye on it.

Someone told me there was a serious problem with the carbon physics. I've been looking for an article on it but have yet to dig up anything.

nVidia gave CCP some of their proprietary libraries to use to develop carbon, but didn't realize CCP devs didn't know how to use them properly so didn't give them a manual.

Hence, CQ spent some time exploding vid cards(mainly nvidia ones from what I saw at the time)

Strangely and completely opposed to your statement, it's ATi video cards that burned for a lot of them. You're getting old and your memory is making fun of you but let me help you:

I'm one of those that had his 1 year old UBER $500 ATi videocard burned, that one being changed for a cheaper single GTX460 2G from Gigabyte. Since then not a single video issue of whatever order, I don't even know what it looks like to have driver issues and completely forgot I've got a video card.

If you do a little search in this very same forum or the old one you'll find out dozens of ATi user threads asking for help, nVidia? -none.

I think that's for you, since I'm not trolling at all.

Sure seems like it.

And there are PLENTY of Dev Blogs with more accurate information than to be found on these notorious forums.

If not a troll:

It was shelved. The method of deployment enraged a large enough of the vocal players that CCP decided to rethink their direction.

I personally would love some bars and other interesting interactions in station... but not when the focus was on how much money they could suck from us through the nex store.

And the removal of ship spinning initially as a way to force the use of CQ (which led to pretty explosions in RL) didn't go over too well either.

Will they get back to it: well... FW and the bounty system come to mind.

Bounty system has been crap since Eve started essentially, but it doesn't break the game. FW is just meh also, and while it could use an overhaul, meh.

There are a decent amount of us who would rather see Incarna finished and polished before either of these. I am one of them.

My point was, they have yet to finish/revamp either of these, despite a large crowd calling for it for many years.

Expect a finished WiS to take at least as long.
