so i've read plenty on using alts in eve, my question is, is it possible to run 2 eve clients with 2 different chars on one comp? i thought i read somewhere you need 2 comps and that you can't run more than one client on a computer. my computer has more than enough resources to run 2 clients if i could, running both in windowed mode of course. so is it possible?

Sure, as long as both accounts are paid ones. You can't "dual-box" if one of your "boxes" is a trial.

Why do they call it dual-boxing anyway? There's only one box...

I have run up to seven clients on one computer at the same time. Your video card and ram will likely be limiting factors.

I have an i5-2500k, 16GB ram and an HD6850 card. 7 clients doesn't even use up 1/2 the ram. Frame rate drops but is still quite playable. Note, I do not run them in full screen mode - i'd need seven monitors for that.
