Hi!

We have looked at this issue for quite some while and we currently assume, that this is caused by running out of memory for creating new textures (as far as I understood it - it is not really my area of expertise). We further assume, that these graphical issues happen now, when in earlier times the client just crashed (as it failed to allocate more memory). At the moment we are not seeing any easy solution for it, but we will continue to investigate it

Workarounds: a) Reduce your graphic settings
b) Restart your client, if you are starting getting problems

Btw: It might be a very good idea to reduce your anti-aliasing setting, if it is set to high. This setting was not working correctly in earlier earlier releases and it is fixed now, which also causes a significantly higher video memory usage

Please reply to this thread and / or write bugreports with further details, if you find / know anything, which might help us to improve (or even fix) this problem.

Any idea when there will be a fix for this issue? The work around of restarting the client works but having to do it on a regular basis is a tad annoying.

I hesitate to mention this issue because I'm rather enjoy this little cluster of bugs but...

During recustomization if you toggle clothes off to sculpt, then try to toggle them back on... well, the clothes don't come back. Better, the CC lets you through to the portrait taking portion: http://i.imgur.com/Gm1Hu.jpg

Sadly, while the CC lets you take the portrait that way, and the local character images show that way, the server-side render puts your clothes back on.

Also of note is that screen caps aren't working properly (as the screen shot shows). I don't mind at all if this isn't fixed for a while... though getting proper screen shots of it would be nice... Lol

Other notes: Applied new skin tone as well.

8 gigs of system RAM
2 gigs of VRAM
7850 ATI
12.4 catalyst drivers
4.2Ghz quad core

This will occur even if EVE is the only major application running on my system, and has everything from the screwy explosion shaders to jump gates/cloaks turning bright white.

I used GPU-Z to monitor my VRAM and it is getting nowhere near maxed. I have also stress-tested and error checked both my VRAM and system RAM, finding no errors in 24 hours. I have also burned in and stress-tested my GPU for 48 hours, finding no errors.

CCP Still watching this problem? It's happening every day I play for a couple hours on my desktop. My laptop doesn't seem to experience this. Eh whatever I'll play some other game. You can find someone else to fill out your bug reports, I'm done "testing".

I submitted a detailed bug report. Screenshots of memory usage, graphics settings, and 11mb Logserver capture. Uploaded all this to the bug report. This problem is not fixed, keep posting here.

I found today that if you play on high settings without "resource cache enabled" checked, you'll get all of these graphical artifacts/errors. As soon as I checked that box and restarted, problems went away and was smooth sailing.

Edit:
System Specs:

Windows 7 Ultimate
i7-2600K @ 4.8GHz
16GB Corsair Vengeance RAM @ 1600 MHz
2x EVGA GeForce GTX 580 Classified Ultras (6GB VRAM)
Game installed on an Intel 6Gbps SSD.
Latest drivers installed etc.

Bubbles are the only common factor I can see.

You get bubbles when you :

- Jump through a gate
- Cyno somewhere
- Use a dictor
- Anchor mobile [size] Warp disruptors

If you WARP at any time, with your camera near a bubble (looking at or just poking it head out), your screen goes white, you lag out for a couple of seconds and then back to normal as if nothing happened.

Very frustrating when warping on top of a small ship with your sabre as they've left their location by the time you regain control.

Recommend you go warping around a gate camp with various size bubbles up (perhaps in a dictor) to witness the issue. Restarting the client doesn't fix it for long.

There are good ships,

And wood ships,

And ships that sail the sea

But the best ships are Spaceships

the usual white glitches i get, after enablings resource cache, dont "seem" to be working. im going to keep an eye on this, & update if neccessary. So far so good. seems to be working. Big smile

so for now, its "fixed" the problem. & thats with my GTX580 btw Cool

For me, going into windowed mode will cause problems with textures not loading (plenty of RAM onboard and on GPU), especially with strut-around-in-station mode enabled - only this pink lightmap texture loads on my character (the environment textures are ok though). So yeah, if anyone is experiencing this brand of texture problem, try going true fullscreen until they fix the issue.

I just bought myself a new rig (i5 3ghz. 6 gigs ram, AMD HD7670 1gb ddr5 (OEM) and unfortunatly i got the same problem.

Sometimes when i undock the station seems to be flickering. (maybe a lighting effect conflict?)
The funny thing is is that when i pan the camera away and then pan it back it is solved strangly enough.

I installed the latest DirectX and drivers for all the hardware.

When i encounter the problem again ill edit this post and include a picture.

Jumping in to say that I am new player and I have the same problem. My rig used to be top of the line not so long ago and it should be more than enough to run EVE. My GPU fan is also spinning as crazy sometimes when I play EVE, it literally sounds as if it's going to explode...
Restarting the client resolves the problems for 2-3 hours.
