Hey,

I am having an issue running eve since the launcher update, and I am wondering if it is my os, or if others running win 8 are having this issue.

When launching, I get splash screen. Then black screen like it is launching, followed by it crashing.

Tried rep tool, and various fixes on forum. I am trying a reinstall... Anyone else with this issue.

And yes, I understand win 8 is in beta. I am trying to troubleshoot.

Do you have any updated/valid video card drivers supporting full/complete hardware acceleration and stuff? I think Nvidia started supporting Windows 8 with their latest release, but I'm not sure how far AMD/ATI is and if/how they run games. In general, wouldn't try to play games on a beta/unreleased OS.

Yeah, my drivers are fine.

After reviewing my dxdiag file, I found that it was the Mumble overview causing the crash. Just be aware of that if you are running mumble and EVE on win 8, for now it seems to cause some kind of issue.
