Petition to Scrap the Launher

I'd prefer the launcher allow you to enter your account and password and then start a new session using that account. Then they can remove the login from the client and take you directly to the character selection screen. This way it takes out any reason to force you to restart the client in order to switch characters.

I didn't even notice that there was an options button until you mentioned it. Thanks!

My only remaining issue is that I've never had a failed patch process until the Launcher came along. Somehow I ended up with an invisible Eve process that was running, and it had file handles open to files the update process wanted to modify. Had to kill the invisible process before the update could work correctly.

CCP Sreegs is my favorite developer.

The launcher helps with the development of the game, as it is no longer required to build manual patch files for each update.

That by itself is good and bad. |t's a wash so far:

More frequent fixes = good.
More dev time spent fixing code than creating a build = good.
More chance to **** things up with a bad patch = bad.
Launcher requiring different Wine DLL overrides than the main exefile = bad.

Please support: export of settings in editable format
