Obama orders vacation story scrubbed, "free" press complies.

Obama's 13 year old daughter is apparently vacationing in Mexico - with a detachment of 25 Secret Service agents.

None of the stories were overtly political, mostly your typical slobbering Obama-vacation worship coverage, though a few uncomfortable themes emerge (ie massive expense to visit a region under a national travel advisory....)

And even if the political attacks were being made - Homeboy Prez trots out his daughters at the drop of a hat when it suits his propaganda needs.

The event was widely reported in the Mexican/Spanish speaking world, so as far as security is concerned, the cat was already out of the bag.

Yet, shortly after being posted the stories were all ordered taken down...... Without comment or explanation.

The Telegraph, Huff Po, IBL, Free Republic, The Austrialian, the list goes on and on.

Shows how easily this White House can control what we are allowed to know, and how easily Obama wields this power.

As much as I love making fun of those poor botting slobs in Putins' Russiaworld, I really wonder how much different our subservient Western media is these days.

No, of course not. Step one is to automatically assume that Obama is censoring the media because he's a Tyrant. A Tyrant who can't get squat passed in Congress. A Tyrant that's up for re-election, and at best, can serve just two terms as Leader.

Stories about presidential children are often taken down or scrapped.

If she was caught doing blow off of a hooker, yeah that will make the papers but the fluff stuff not so much.

Remember these are the news outlets that rely on White House press releases to get the latest stories. The consensus is that children of the first family is off limits unless their is a scandal or they agree to be interviewed.

It isn't just Obama.

I'll be concerned when the "free press" pulls a newsworthy story because the president orders it. This is just meaningless fluff, and I don't give a **** if the media decides they'd rather keep a major public figure's good will than run a fluff story that nobody is going to care about 15 minutes after they read it.

When the President orders a story to be taken down, that has an affect on me and my life, that is when I will be worried. Until then, I really don' t think this matters.

Most news stories are fluff and this one is super fluff.

Not sure this story matters very much, but there is little doubt the press slobers all over Obama and does what it can for the left leaning cause. Go investigate the recent CBO revelations about the cost increases with regards to Obamacare and how the press tries to spin it as a good thing.

The right press is no better, slobering all over Frothy and Mittens and that fat gas bag from the 90s that still pretends to be relevant.

My favorite conspiracy theory?

Its how Obama is doing his best to use federal regulations to discourage domestic oil development, reduce access to Canadian Tar Sands oil, and shut down coal fired power plants, artifically driving up the cost of traditional fossil fuels until we all are forced to take the bus or "lol-speed rail", while lining the pockets of Obama's donors and buddies in the green energy racket.

Ha ha ha, but thats just tinfoil crazy talk.

Unfortunately for Obama, he failed to consider how badly rising fuel prices and higher costs of living were going to damage his re-election prospects. He said as much on video to a college-age supporter during a 2008 'town hall meeting'. He just naively expected the American voter drink the 'green' Kool-aid and then bend over and take it for the team.

You DO realize that the alternative is a Mormon who believes he has to wear magic underwear or a devout Catholic who has promised to ban all internet pornography if elected, right?

-Oil produced in the US creates domestic jobs and wealth, vs imported oil. But Obama would rather sacrifice that on the green altar. Further people don't understand how massive some of these US shale and Canadian Tar sands deposits are. The deposits in Alberta alone, have nearly 10x the potential reserves of the entire Middle East. While only 15% is recoverable with current technology at current prices, that still equates to a massive supply. Peak oil doomsday nuts must be crying in their lattes. Combine that with the revolution in natural gas 'fracking', fossil fuel energy will be relatively cheap and plentiful for a very, very long time. This has the side effect of rendering any investment in 'renewables' instantly stupid - and makes Obama's 'Energy Department Solyndra federal grant recipients/2012 campaign donors' very very sad.

-So......if thats the case, why aren't European entrepreneurs buying up the US cheap gas and selling it in Europe? Oh, yeah, government interference. Saying that government policy isn't partially responsible for gasoline prices is simply pants-on-head stupid, when the commodity is taxed at both the federal and state level, and the production of which is subjected to a myriad of gov't cost inflating regulation dictacting specfic blends in different regions at different times of year.

-Global warming stopped in the 90's. Still waiting for an explanation why, but the hacked emails from the so called 'experts' have already told us they have no idea. Get with the program, Al Gore might have been a left-wing rock star 5-6 years ago, but he's a national joke now.
