go into your router settings, turn off all firewall protection
go into your windows firewall settings and do the same (windows will flash angry red stuff at you, but ignore it for now)
go into your antivirus and turn it off

run the launcher. It should patch now without a problem

once you are patched, go back and turn on all your security features again

run the exefile.exe found in your the bin folder inside the eve folder on your machine.

this is the eve client file and running it like this bypasses the launcher allowing you to log in and play.

if you run the launcher your system will simply hang up again. Your security stuff thinks launcher is attacking your computer.



this worked for me. My launcher was getting stuck at 15% and I was losing connection to my router. The rest of the systems on my network could access internet just fine, but the computer with launcher running was kicked off the network.

REMEMBER TO TURN ON ALL YOUR SECURITY AGAIN!!!!
