So the title more or less says it all. I'm training an alt working on getting logistics 5, currently I can fly the guardian. from what I have read and heard the guardian is great as long as there is 2 or more so they can cap transfer while they work. What I am wondering is what logi is best for solo flying. by that I mean only one logi in the fleet. I would like to be able to fly for both shields and armor at some point but right now I don't know which fleet I will be in.

Scimitar works good for solo logi...onerios I seen people fly shield nano fit for solo logi and rep from edge of your range, worked ok from what I've seen..fly it close at armor brawling range you'll just get popped straight away.

I would think the Scimitar for shield and the Onieros for armor. Reason being that they're both easy to set up cap-stable. Solo logies are pretty squishy though and remember that you'll have trouble using it in low-sec around gates and stations if your gang is taking the initiative on aggro....

Liang's Basi:

https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=784669#post784669

It's pricey, much slower than the scimi and has no ECCM, but can self boost.

I'd start with a scimi/oneiros first as they're the easiest to fly using cookie cutter setups.

Thanks everyone for the input, I think I am going to work towards being able to fly all of them just to have lots of options. I realize this will take a decent amount of time but it gives me something to do. Thanks again for the help.

You have the fit and you've seen the explanation as many times as I'm willing to give it. You post it - I'm too busy killing people in game to bother anymore.

Oooh, now that's a fun topic. Its tank is a bit weak, but hot damn can it rep! I don't feel quite so ashamed of having a fully maxed Niddy pilot now. \o/

IIRC, the Basi outperforms the Scim when equally fit - regardless of deadspace mods. I did recently find an amusing thing that the Scim can do that the Basi can't though. But I figure I'll keep my unconventional fits to myself and just rake in the kills. Lol

The Scimi can kite and kill things fairly nicely. No secret there. The fits for it might not be well known, but people are generally surprised by the scimi tackling and holding them down to solo or wait for others to show up.

What kinda triage work? Battlefield triage for armour and cap? Archon would be the best. POS/Sov/Station repping? Niddy for sure

I think that most of the Archon's traditional advantages still apply. For instance, the Archon still has superior buffer, superior local tank, a larger base capacitor, the ET bonus, better fittings, etc. The Nidhoggur aligns faster, locks faster, and puts out more RR as long as it manages to remain on the field. I'd say that the Archon is still superior, largely because of the flexibility that comes from the ET + Resist bonus, but the Nidhoggur's fittings buff (while not quite enough extra grid) opened up some new and interesting non-conventional fits.

Ed: Oh, yeah.. triage POS repping? Niddy FTFW.

Scimi by far, does not need a cap partner like the others, can fit a bit of a tank aswell as sufficiant rep.

Things the scimi can do:

5 x LST II's. Best rep to others
Sufficiant tank to last.

Things the basi does:

can fit cap transfer and gets bonus, can be more effective in fleets.
Needs a partner or will die
Need to rely on cap from other basi.

Simi's are also used in shield shiny fleets for incursions ( i know as i am always looking for them to join my fleets) and will make u more money than others.
