Won't start, no feedback

My current machine has been running eve perfectly for several months. Multiple clients and heavy load haven't worried it in the slightest. This machine is normally extremely stable, often seeing a months uptime easily.

I updated to the latest AMD graphics drivers yesterday (possibly the day before) and that seemed fine for at least a few hours. Last night the whole machine hung while logging in and required a hard reset.

Now the tranquility client refuses to start at all. I get the spinning cursor notification for 3 seconds then nothing. The process just dies. This goes for the client executable, the launcher and safemode. There is no feedback and nothing to give me any hints.

Sisi client still starts and runs perfectly. I have tried a repair on the main install but it claims everything is fine. Have also tried with anti-virus disabled but no change. Everything else (other games and applications, including stress testing) seems fine.

I'd rather not have to re-install completely as that will take me quite a few hours.

Any tips appreciated, my spec is as follows (all hardware is stock speed):

Windows 7 Ultimate x64
Latest drivers as of yesterday

AMD Phenom 1100T
Asus Crosshair Formula IV
2x HSI HD6950s
16GB Corsair Dominator
Mellisa Cameltoe
Incognito Mode
Brotherhood of Spacers

Managed to fix it, ran the launcher_console.exe and decihpered the python output. It was complaining about an invalid character in a yaml file. I nuked the entire launcher cache and it's going again.

It would be nice if there was a log...or something a little more friendly than python exceptions.
