Hi.

Sorry for opening up a thread about this,
but i'm quite confused now and petitioning it is not an option.

So yesterday i was in help-chat and a GM called (i think) GM Harris
told me to petition about my issue. He had red text, so definitely a GM.

The issue is, i have Large Projectile Guns at 4 and Large Artillery Spec at 3 ...
and i wanted to skill that up to 4.

Now sadly, i can't, because it tells me i don't have the prerequs.

So i went to help to gather information and there was this GM Harris (?) and he told me to petition, so i did.

Now i got a response from a different GM, telling me they can't do anything about it and i have to LPT to V manually ...
... and he also said there is no GM Harris ... but i'm quite sure that was his name ... maybe slightly different ?

Anyway, i feel a bit confused and kind of let down, because ...

First one GM tells me i should petition so they can work it out,
then the other one tells me there's nothing they can do.

Why didn't the first GM tell me beforehand, then ??


Can anybody help me clear that up, please ?

the GM who said to petition is GM Haggis. Cant help with the actual problem though

Seems reasonable…

The prereqs are Sharpshooter V; Medium Artillery Spec IV; Large Projectiles V. If you don't have those, you can't train the skill, which is what you're trying to do.

Presumably, you lost that LPT V by being podded, in which case training it up again is the intended way to deal with the problem.

So? You need LPT V to train its specialization. Maybe they changed the prereq in a previous patch, so be glad you trained LAS to III when you could.

I don't really see your problem.

AAAHHHHHHH you're right !!
I just checked the insurance mails if i maybe missed updating a clone.

And i did ! Lost LPT V ... oh my.

My bad then ! I thought they've changed the prerequs and i missed the information !

Look in your chat logs "My Documents > EVE > logs > Chatlogs"

Everything that you and anyone else says is in those logs. Find the log that you need, look for your conversation. Then you'll know everything the GM said, and his exact spelling...

For your Skill problems, I have no clue how to handle that one. :)
