Give gallente pilots SP resets so we can all go minmatar.-DELETE PLEASE

yes and i also realize that being armour tanked means plates and slow... they use too much cap to be efficient, run the guns or simply get in range (good luck with your plated ship that gos tops 1km/s. Befor you say that armour tanked ships dont have to be slow, i would point you to the cap eating slow cycling energy costing armour reps... Im gallent my selve yet all is fail for 0.0 combat exept the lach in big fleets.... and even that ship i lol too due needing shield skills, drone, missile and hybryd skills if you want to use it in small fleets wher dps matters... srry gallente rly is terrible

The conventional shield nano Cane does about 300dps @ 25km when pushed, which is a whopping 50dps more than a blaster Brutix at same range.

But enough of this, it's quite testimonial that Brutix is the only tier 1 BC ever compared to tier 2s, probably because it's by far the best tier 1 BC in game, they all have issues that hopefully will be fixed with the upcoming tiericide. Gallente racial counterpart to Hurricane is the Myrmidon. The DPS from a Cane @ 25km can be tanked with a single repper of a dual repper, and it can do equal dps out to 60km.

Brutix is far from a perfect solo-BC, Myrm does that a lot better, and neither of them is the best option for larger fleets- that is the downside of Gallente, at least currently there are no "line ships". Brutix fills the DPS role in a small gang, and does that with style- bringing in more dps than many battleships.

tl,dr; Cane is a great swiss-army tier 2 BC that has super speed. Brutix is one the weak tier 1 BCs, with a very distinct role. As per how the tier system is designed now, the Cane should win the Brutix. Obviously comparing these two ships is mostly irrelevant to the discussion about Gallente as a race.

I will come on my thought about Gallente after this tiericide long due annihilation and when ships for a role will have the tools to achieve what they're supposed to without "tricks" fails stuf and whatsoever.
OC I know how good a Brutix can be, unfortunately it's just in very specific situations but once those requirements are set hell yeah rocks in the house, it's all the problem I have with gallente: they can be, under very specific situations.

Now, for people thinking Eve is about gate camping, station camping, ganking mackinaws/hulks, gank haulers at gates, 1-1 with boost alt+naut jam + neut rep then we clearly don't play the same game and we will never agree.

Gal are one of the best for small gangs, so long as you have decent tackle or webs (rapiers, arazu, whatever, they work :) )
Sit a few brutixs on top of almost any sub-cap and it dies in short order.

Yes, they can't solo very well, althrough having said that, its only covering the initial distance that is a problem for them, once they have lured someone close their DPS + tank + Ewar slots make them very very potent indeed.

Large fleet battles, yeah its a bit sucky due to short blaster range BUT in a short ranged BS fleet, they are still damm useful, unfortunatly the other fleet types they are somewhat disadvantages for, but you can't have everything, minmatar as pretty much in the same boat, its normally better to have caldari or amarr for the larger battles, simply due to the larger buffer vs alpha strike.

-The sword is only as sharp as the one who wields it! Other names: Drenzul (WoT, WoW, Lineage 2, WarH, BloodBowl, BSG, SC2 and lots more)

My biggest complaint about Minmatar and Gallente has always been range.

Minmatar are meant to be the faster ships and as such should get the lower range and Gallente should be getting slightly slower ships with the extra range.

However this has never been the case and since Minmatar also have the ability to change ammo damage types where as Gallente/Amarr are limited with Caldari being ignored due to the lacking damage.

So with interchangeable ammo damage type superior range, speed and they have slot layouts that suit damage mods and shield buffer you wonder why people use them more, not a complaint just observation.

Maybe the next expansion might fix all that with the possible ship changes.

What is really needed is negative AOE ewar effects based on sensor strength that would make things interesting. Twisted

They'll never do that, because the moment they do, 80% will retrain Minmatar/Projectiles just based on word of mouth alone, regardless of whether it is true or false. Variety will be completely shot as a result, you'll have wall-to-wall Minmatar carpeting just due to the rampant Winmatar public opinion. At which point CCP would have to step in and nerf the snot out of them, or buff other races, which will turn the game into the nerfbat merry-go-round like every other MMO out there.
