Were you moving faction modules? In that case, how many m3?

If the answer is "less than 200m3" then it would have been better to fly in a frigate for several reasons:

> they are not industrial vessels: industrial == target and you don't want to look like one
> they are fast to align and warp, nanoed they are even faster: fast == not a good target
> for the reasons above, they do not get scanned very often, especially when you keep on warping to 0, industrial vessels are juicier targets and they are preferrably scanned first

should you try the run again, do it this way and you'll be fine.

That's why I used to haul high-value low-volume stuff in a Hurricane hull. It's cheap and can fit a nice tank. It looks like a PvE/PvP ship and not a hauler, so you're less likely to be scanned. Plus you can reconfigure the low slots as needed depending on whether you want more tank, more WCS, nanos, etc.

That's a good strategy, but it leaves the door open to the random scan... what if that cane has faction modules fitted? A T1frigate is far more less likely to be faction fitted, especially in highsec, so it passes through almost always ignored.

I'm more of a combat spec pilot so I use a Drake to fly my high value goods since those ones typically tend to be low volume when I do. Having over 100k EHP makes it a tad bit more of a challenge to get poped by suicide gankers, only met a few groups of people who were able to do that in my travels.

In the future I will probably just spend the few extra days and train ammar cruiser V and fly the Damnation and have something like 300k EHP for those goods, or repurpose a strategic cruiser to have over 200k EHP. My train of thought is life happens and I want the high EHP to stand up to any attacks in case I have to autopilot, that and the lower sig of these ships will make it harder to hit effectively compared to a freighter or orca which is the size of a small moon. So it might require more ships for them to destroy me, or them actually plan ahead and bring target painters, that and these ships are faster than the freighter and orca which I typically would have no use for.

Though anything too valuable for me, aka when it starts becomming profitable to pop my drake is usually done courier as I'm cheap.

But TBH the other suggestions others had are probably the more sane and better options. But there is more than one way to get the job done, this is just my preference.

Welcome to Eve. Everyone here is an Evil Sick Sadistic Bastard who is out to get you. Anyone who tells you otherwise is either trying to scam you or use you.
