Thank you. But to be completely honest I wouldn't have even bothered if I had realized that The goons were styling The Mittani after Hitler. I want no part of this. Apparently it blocks the name of the Nazi leader responsible for the deaths of over 15 million people.

That campaign poster was made by that crappy website, not by a goon.

It's been almost a week since a hysterical type has godwinned himself against the windshield of my campaign, smugly invoking of gigadeaths while cloaking himself in faux indignation over a ~spaceship election~, blind to his own hypocrisy.

Maybe she'll just rack up a couple of "billable hours"....

It's pretty simple, really. I hate goons, I've been their enemy for a long time, and I dislike the attitude that they stand for, and the type of people they represent. I hate the ATTITUDE of the goons that Mittani leads, but that has little to do with his platform and the game design issues he stands for.

When you're talking about who will be most effective in actually getting CCP to listen to the CSM, and what type of issues they will be bringing forth, the Goon garbage doesn't matter. CSM5 finally brought the CSM out of useless joke status, and CSM6 really shone, and while that was a group effort, I think Mittens' efforts were a good part of that. His platform reads nearly identical to what my own list of issues would be.

And beyond that, actually reading some of the threads here, I've found it more and more difficult to sympathize with the opposition to him. Not only does the usual Goon trolling seem a little bit less than usual (though it's hard to tell), but frankly, I have yet to see a real honest, well thought out opposition to Mittani's platform. The only thing I've seen is a neverending stream of attacks on him and the Goons. Which, don't get me wrong, they are scum, but who cares?

In this venue, just as in real life elections, I really couldn't care less about the character of the candidate. I don't care if they spend their days saving babies from stampeding cattle, or whether they spend it on hookers and blow. I care about their stance on issues, and their track record for actually putting forth those issues and getting results. Mittani's track record is great, and the personal attacks do nothing but irritate me (just as they do in real life).

So, yeah, as dirty and unclean it makes me feel to agree with ANY Goon, the fact is, in this particular venue, Mittani makes a lot of sense.

With all due respect, sir, the giga-prefix refers to billions, as in 10^9.
