I have 2 separate install of eve on my pc so I can have each client setup differently for my alt and main.

This was working fine until the new launcher came out. To start my 2 installs seemed separate but after a recent update to the launcher my second client does not respond and when started in safe mode seems to start the client of the first install.

is it still possible to have 2 completely separate installs setup differently or has the launcher made this impossible?

You should run 2 separate clients with 1 install rather than 2 installs for 2 clients. Way to much work and wasted space.

Use this guide to create Junctions and have 2 separate client settings but all on 1 install so only 1 patch per update and such (Except client updates ingame, those need to be installed on each client when they show. :/ )

Also make sure you click the wrench/spanner at the top of the launcher and set the launcher to only show when new patches are available to keep it from causing issues when you go to launch your 2 clients at the same time.

Then you will just launch one, Patch it up when there is a patch, then when done, launch the other and it will go right into game.
