CCP Can we kill specific sounds in any way?

Question:

The Jump Bridge sound is killing my ears.
Yeah I know... eve has sound? blablabla, but I like to hear my turrets shoot others,
so I wont turn of all the sounds.
But when we jump trough a jumpbridge with a large fleet the Jump Bridge sounds is soo insanely loud!

So:
I there any way I can remove the Jump bridge sound from EVE?

Isnt there options for different sound groups in the options menu? For the moment it isn't a single sound fix, but pulling down Ambient sounds (or whatever one that would have the Jump Bridge under it) would do the trick for the moment. :/

Hell for a lot of people the old quote comes up... "EVE has sound?" ;)


Yes I agree this does need fixing. Probably will be in a patch in another day or 2. 
If I helped you out, Technical Issue, enemy gank, popped your poor fit, hit the "Like" button.

Well, I has been this way for a few months now, so I think CCP is not seeing the problem...

Strange I never noticed any issues/change till 1.5 like some others have noted. Hmm.

Well...

It seems that after 1.5 zooming out doesnt mute the sound.
previously you could zoom out and the sound whould be barely noticeable.
now zooming out doesnt seem to work... that might be what you are talking about

That is probably it. Strange stuff indeed.

I still miss the old days of Hardware Accelerated Audio and using Creative Alchemy to Accelerate the Audio with my X-Fi.. Ahh the good old days.

Wish I could be more help, but any tampering with the files inside EVE now = Death from Launcher Error. You may be able to get around it by launching the evefile.exe directly, but the minute there is a patch of any sort, you would have to restore any files you touched ore threaten a repair/reinstall.
