I instaled eve the first time, logged in and i had no problems.after that i tryed to start the game but it whouldn't launch (crash every time).The repair from the eve folder didin't start.I deleted eve online and tryed to instal it again.When i started the online instaler it didin't work directing me to the offline instaler witch does the same thing as the online instaler (it send me again and again to the offline instaler).To be said that i downloaded all of the 3 link from the offline instaler (the executable and the 2 other folders)/

Same o question quest..

Do you have any Anti Virus programs. Those should be disabled/deleted untill the download/install/update has been done for now.

Do you have a Firewall enabled outside of the Windows Firewall?

i have the windows firewall but i put eve at the allowed section.Don't have any antivirus

This is a huge problem for everyone right now, myself included. Happened with the most recent patch. EVE ran fine last week, didn't work this week.

I have tried everything they have suggested and still get the "Archive Exraction Failed: 3"

Disabled Kaspersky AV - Failed
Uninstalled Kaspersky - Failed
Changed Proxy Settings - Failed
Ensure Router Firewall Disabled / Ports open - Failed
Fresh install of Windows 7 32bit - Failed

Well i deleted the old offline instalation kit and downloaded it again...it seams to work now...lets just hope it will stay that way

Either way, Extraction sounds like a hardware issue if it is not a software issue (Fresh Windows 7 Install being only windows? Not a OEM Restore CD?)

Have you run Memtest86 http://www.memtest.org To see if you are having any memory errors with the large files?

Guess it just seems that way with all the people posting on the Forums about it, but I guess all Tech issues work that way.

I can only speak for myself, but ...

EVE Online work less than a week ago, wasn't until Tuesday/Wednesday that it broke. To me, a fresh install consists of formatting the HDD (Not quick, but full) and installing a legit clear (No Dell/HP/Misc software) copy back into the newly formatted Disk. Only thing installed before downloading/installing EVE Software was the Video Drivers so it would leave 800x600 resolution.

Sounds Good.. Hmm Some chipset drivers might not hurt as well as well as all the Windows Updates before installing anything else.


You still have not mentioned running Memtest. Though it may sound trivial if you can get Windows installed, it still can be a problem.

Outside of that, it sounds like it may either be a connection download issue, corrupt content on the CCP server end, or something just not adding up right in the checksum. Curious for sure..

well after a fresh install of windows..fresh install on eve the same problem..instaled it ..it worked...went to play something else, and now crach...and the repair obtion doesn't work

Help me out here I wanna take a look...

you may also wanna get HWinfo and get me a report from that as well. Let me know if you need help with this.

In HWinfo you can save a system report. Can you do that and upload it to dropbox and PM it to me?

I was having the same issue, seems that CCP has fixed the "corruption" that it was saying we had. Try re-downloading and running it again.

Hmm Small list and I would think they would affect the files during download more than install, but maybe it is also screwing with the launcher itself.

I would make sure YahooMessenger, BitTorrent, and Skype are turned off when you are using the launcher just to see if any of those are causing issues. (make sure they are not running in the processes tab even if you close them)

Though These may have no bearing on the "corruption" problem like you are having so redownload using the links I posted and I would reccomend trying with JDownloader, but maybe it was a CCP issue after all. Either way JDownloader I have used for big files and it does help guarantee integrity that extra bit.

my eve kit from the coomputer is from the link you gave me.i gues i just have to reinstall eve every time i want to get in the game util ccp find a way to fix it

I know it is from it. What I am saying is use JDownloader to get the files (Better Integrity check to make sure you don't download and corrupt the file Hopefully)

Then on top of that, use the manual patchers and then the last 2 patches through the installer to get going today.

Hopefully tomorrow or so the Launcher issues will be ironed out, if not I will continue to host the latest patch to just import and play.
