After a brief run of genuine excellence it seems CCP are back to their standard operating procedures....

1. Poorly coded launcher, CPU intensive for no good reason and slow at downloading patches. You don't want it? Tough.

2. Deleting player owned items including alliance tournament prizes. Prizes that took CCP a long time to actually hand out in the first place and now state will not be returned as a priority due to fanfest. This along with peoples valued collectors items the mine BPC's. They don't even have a reliable mechanism for implementing their return and when they any record of research on the items has been erased. The logs show nothing.

3. Stealth 'nerf' to how bounties are paid out on belt rats. The bounties now only go to the person dealing the last blow. While this is largely a non-issue, it kills off teamwork in ratting security status up quickly. No one at CCP is able to give a consistent ruling on if this is a feature, a bug; nor if it even exists in-game at all. Despite the fact that it obviously is if you spend time to test it.

4. Terrible 'improvements' to the overview. Ship brackets not appearing till the end of the overview refresh cycle rather than immediately amongst other issues.

5. Forum / Gate notifications.

6. Etc.

It was a nice run it seems they have all too quickly forgotten what true excellence is Oops

You are getting way too much pro attention for writing what amounts to a ***** thread. I'd be looking over my shoulder in game if I were you. Some devs? They can pew-pew.

THAT would be funny as hell. **** off a Dev and now you have a fleet of Devs warp in on you while you are all alone...lol

I read it's not only bounties but sec bonus as well. Big face-palm overall though.

I will gladly confirm that this is a defect and that a fix for it will be forthcoming shortly.

You didn't read that thread properly did you. I only 'claimed' to be quitting once ever, and I didn't mean it. Post with your main next time.

I think the problem goes to the very start. The issue is that after almost 10 years this game is "still" being put right. If a standard life time is lets go for 80 years then 1/8th of a life time is a dang long time to put this stuff right.

The belt rats even though I don't do this I can agree would be a pain in the backside. CCPs secretiveness about it makes matter all the more worse. Why the secretiveness? Because indeed there would be outrage.

I dont grasp the new Battlecruiser thing? Instead of 1 skill there will be 4 racials. This will make it more like the other ships classes but why "is it needed" It's working fine as it is?

Also the "log" window is now about as laggy as running a dedicated Crysis 2 server on a Pentium 1 from a 56k modem.

The launcher is another thing not needed and is time spent. This could have been used else where.

The launcher is actually pointing out what Spank said, Its evidence that CCP has once again gone from the green to the rough...
Its lost its path again *GAH* Something we were promised wouldn't happen. Yet here we are and clearly things have been brushed aside for the new launcher. Teams have been taken from "lets fix our game team" and placed into the "new ideas no one really wants" team.

In any game there has to be certain elements which are routine, things that will not change. Like that medkit place in that FPS game, It always spawns there...

Rats shouldn't be changed, they should stay the same just like mission rat spawns should stay the same. It should be a constant within the game.

If things are being changed which makes the task harder the reward should be higher

Chaining rats is a source of income for null sec dwellers as well as a great way of raising sec status for these reasons it should be left well alone.

Rarely have I seen a post so full of incorrect assumptions, uninformed opinion, and belligerent accusations of secrecy after posts explaining the issue completely appearing a few posts above his.

Don't ever stop posting, EVE needs more comic relief.

How about sharing security status? Can you fix that? because currently it only goes to the last person dealing the final blow as well, and that destroys teamwork as well!!!!

I think the issue is two pronged.

People like myself had 0 and I mean absolutely 0 probelms with this patch.
Cept my missing python bpo.

anyways I dont check on that thing daily, how else was i supposed to know I was missing it on the test server?

My feedback on things that could have broken are absolutely useless becuase the game doesnt want to break on me.
Is it my fault my client runs so pristinely? Probably but not on purpose.

I just wished people who normally have the most problems would help bug test you know. since well its the crab they have to put up with every patch.

Never thought I'd agree with Lady Spank....Oops

So we invest time in spiffing up noob ships, when so many things remain unaddressed. Not to mention introducing a whole new fleet of shiny new bugs at every turn.

For those of you brownnosers who think mediocre patch after patch is ok, the people that are complaining actually want this game to last....

Until they make a concerted effort to clean up the game, finish up all the fixes that have been ignored for years, people will continue to complain. By responding, all your doing is validating their position...Cool

2 is certainly an issue.

3 is being worked on.

I've noticed 4, along with mobs not appearing when I warp into an area.

5 and 6 could use clarification?

This patch was a bigger patch than the previous 2. Probably done with the same amount of resources as the previous 2. I'd say it's a good time for CCP to step back after putting out fires and compare. Perhaps they let too many developers leave last year.

Game has changed

Its not changing back unless CCP state otherwise. (i have seen a dev post apologising for item dissapearence)

Do what every other gamer does on every other game and adapt.

Confirming that dissatisfaction with sloppy development and regressive implementations is the same as being incapable of adapting.

I've been critical of the QA work at CCP in the past but this bug is super easy to miss. It's hard to be upset about this one.

How big is your QA team anyhow?

Posted on main because I'm not a coward like the rest of you.
