When a player attempts to get a warning out of a security alert, is the following acceptable?

Spamming public channels
From: GM Radiance
Sent: 2012.03.14 18:01
To: Coyote Laughing,

Spamming public channels is very annoying for other citizens of the EVE universe. Cease this activity at once, or face further repercussions.

EDITED NOTE: In my rush to get out a security alert (this is the first time I have used the forums), I missed the part about communications between a GM and Player being private, and was told to file a petition.

I have already had to close two petitions already this month to make way for more pressing issues. Any consequences that occur as a result of me acting in good faith, or in any past or future dealings with this person - can only serve to harm the game and therefore CCP. I would also point out there are public interest exceptions in revealing private information.

I would point out that since you are talking about a VIDEO GAME with punishments only dealt out INSIDE the GAME, there are no "public interest exceptions".

Even if there were, they would only not be able to ban you for sharing private information...they could still ban you because...you know....they own the game and the EULA lets them ban anyone for any reason any time...even for no reason.....

Just saying...Roll

I don't log in - I don't need to. My very existence griefs people. They see my name, and they instinctively fill with rage and indignation. Deny it all you want - but if you didn't care, you wouldn't have posted, would you?

Also...when a player does what now? Huh?

Inglés, por favor!

Well, when there is a real world consequence of a computer being hacked, we could be talking a stay in Gitmo....

Let's be plain - THIS IS A REAL WORLD CRIMINAL ACT!

There are all sorts of contempt of court charges for acting against a witness and/or victim - including being added as an accessory after the fact.

I am tempted to recommend returning to whatever rock you were previously under, but since you don't provide any details, no backstory, and dont bother to let us know what you are talking about. I will just not post anything at all. Oh wait...

Hmmm

Sorry, that was posted in the technology section. Does this mean I am guilty of cross-posting as well? I guess I had better read up on that as well. I actually tried to contact CCP directly, but I couldn't navigate through the web sites to do so.

It might of been possible for this to blow over and be written off as just another dumb noob mistake - but they bear the responsibility for this because they blocked my eve-mail communications so I could not talk to them.

What other avenues did I have other than the forums?

Only one thing you are saying makes sense.

The part where you should stop spamming local.

Take that knowledge and apply it to the forums.

Signatures wer cooler when we couldn't remove them completely.

Sounds like a plan now that I have actually read the forum guidelines.... which made me reread the terms and conditions and I am getting even more confused.

I guess doing something without thinking about it is going to have consequences, a lesson we could all profit from.

This feels like another badly written monologue spoken by Stan at the end of South Park....

Wow. I somehow ended up wasting my time deciphering this.

OP is butthurt because:

1) someone sent him a link to an unscrupulous website where he picked up cookies he didn't want;
2) he flew from system to system spamming local with a warning about the website;
3) a GM muted him for spamming.

So he has started multiple threads in the forums, continuing to post GM communications even though he's been told that it's against the EULA to do so. Instead of backing down when warned, he's doubling down by trying to garner public support for what he feels is unfair treatment by CCP. He's also advocating for more petition space since he has too many whines going at once.

Why do I do this to myself?

At the risk of inviting you to talk even more...

...what could you possibly be doing that you've run into a maximum petition limit in a month?

I don't judge people by their race, religion, color, size, age, gender, or ethnicity. I judge them by their grammar, spelling, syntax, punctuation, clarity of expression, and logical consistency.

The name of your thread is creative and intriguing. I am disappointed that OP could make a thread with a thread name as inviting as this, and then just continually whine about the Kings of Internet Spaceships gagged him cause he's was spamming **** in local to warn others about being spammed with ****.....
...what?
I wonder how people with such low intelligence are able to handle the complexity of using a computer (unless they're using a mac, of course).
