Hi, does this happen repeatedly? If so, I may ask you to give me some additional information, if that's OK.

Any chance we could get some assistance with this issue

https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=80954

It's similar and just as much as a pain in the behind - and has been happening since the Launcher update (on the first patch with the new launcher). So far it completely prevents patching even when the launcher is the only thing running and after restarting my computer numerous times.

If it's not too much trouble, would you mind downloading handle.exe from the following http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb896655 and giving us a pastebin of its output while the Launcher is having this conflict?

Hi, can you try running Repair Tool shortcut with the following argument? --buildno=350962 (To be clear, if this gets copy-pasted around, this is the build number of TQ at the time of this posting).

Running the repair tool with the opstion downloaded a 147 350962 patch wich seem to run without error, once done I opened the client and the lancher in now busy downloading a 3560962-344785patch. will let jou know how it goes 199.50mb file

As of right now my new patched 1.5 client seems to be running fine, i am right now moving the "C:\User\Appdata\local\CCP\EVE\c_[]games[]_steam_steamapps_common_eve_online_tranquility" content to the new "C:\User\Appdata\local\CCP\EVE\c_eve_online_tranquility" to try to get my client cache and settings restored.

However i still lost about a day and five hours of game time and 2 hours of skill training (and possibly will lose more if more trouble comes up in the next patches while you fix the launcher and the client). I demand compensation for my lost game time because it was not my fault that it happened, it was CCP's fault for launching an update not ready to be released.

(Ah yeah, not to say that im currently working as a CCP troubleshooter assistant without getting paid)

Can you try running the Launcher again? If this doesn't fix it, try deleting the .patch file in the EVE client directory.

Anyway, i hope you guys at CCP come up with something to compensate this grief caused to the players, like a good ammount of ISK or some valuable ingame items, or even a free PLEX or added gametime to their accounts.

I will keep an eye on the forums and the website looking forward to this and for the resolution of the launcher patching issue with the game directory's path containing brackets or rare characters, hope it gets fixed sometime in the next patches. I would like to have the game folder inside my c:\|[]games[]\Steam\steamapps\common\ again to be able to run EVE through Steam again.

Thanks for your attention and support, i will be coming back to this forum thread or the EVE Online: Crucible 1.5 Issues thread again if the need arrives

For some reason the patchinfo file seems to be cached, which would explain why the Repair Tool keeps pointing you at an old build number (and therefore old data to patch). Do you mind trying the workaround proposed in this thread https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=939371#post939371 ? Sorry about the issues you're having Sad.

Please don't give him the compensation. Anyone with half a brain in this game knows you ALWAYS expect crap to go wrong at patch time. You ALWAYS have a dump skill in place during big updates.

Edit: And so what if you are helping CCP fix the game. Big whoop man. Sorry if you expect money for voting or money for helping someone jumpstart their car but most of the rest of us wont whine when we help improve the game and save resources for development of internet spaceships.

Can I haz your stuff?

A free PLEX because your computer was not ready for the new EVE installer? Wut?

Ive tried all of this, Nothing any DEV has suggested has worked. Launcher says ready to play, I click play and I get an error saying "Verification Failure; Your EVE client installation may have been modified, damaged or corrupt files. Please run repair.exe located in the the EVE game directory or re-install the game client. " So, I ran repair.exe with admin and it runs and says "Completed successfully. The EVE Online client was successfully repaired"

Then as soon as i press close I get this : Errors occurred; See the logfile 'C:\Users\AppData\....ect

This is the log file contents.:

So Its been over 24 hrs fooling with this, what is needed to fix? And why hasn't there been more support for this? Why do I feel like i have to go out of my way to learn something to fix a game i'm paying to play....

Stop whining for one.

#2 Software is never guaranteed to work with your mix of hardware and software.

#3 Hopefully you had a long dump skill in queue.
