Can't install the update unless I try, try, try, and try again rinse repeat for the client update

I don't mean to be rude because i love this game but I don't think that my game should fail to update after the patch is downloaded or that the client should fail to update in the same fashion. Please CCP thoroughly check your installer code before launching the next patch... all the nice people in the forums would really really like to be online rather than patching ad finitum.

I know that my update process this time took me 4 downloads of the patch and then 2 updates of the client and 3 downloads of the client before it finally let me back on to my favorite place in any universe.
