Wondering if there are any loose associations ( not corporations) of EVE players that get together to take out some of the really bad players out there.

If not, hereby soliciting EVE players to see if there is interest in forming such.

To clarify: Got caught coming out of a gate, by a guy with a security index of -9.6, for unprovoked aggression. My partner had the same thing happen to her. We have about 2 months in to the game, and we don't belong to a large corp, so up to us to protect ourselves, and get satisfaction. I have no problem with that, but to handle people with a lot more experience and cash will require a group, not to mention, some way of finding out where they are, etc. In other words, some strategy and tactics.

I would propose a very flexible grouping ( almost just a list of names) of people interested in helping others and each other, willing to get together every once in a while to play vigilante. At that time, the worst offenders could be hunted down for a taste of their medicine. I would specifically exclude from this list anybody that gives fair warning before aggression, but am open to comments on this. My prime goal is to go after the guys that hide in the bush with alpha strikes, just don't see the fun there, and really believe that they use the game ( and all the other players) in a bad way.

The Skunkworks is at your service for hurting bad people and, in fact, has been doing so for nearly a year now.

My thought, is simply to blow them up. I do not condone trying to ban or anything like that. From my point of view, this is a game, and different people play different ways, but I think that if somebody starts looking at these guys, and the word gets around that retribution ( in the form of having to build a new ship, and collect more isk) can be the result of their aggressive action, then it might make a difference.

Then again, they might just enjoy it, who knows??

Why is this sort of behaviour discouraged and met with trolling? It's actually really good both for these guys to try something new, embodying what EVE is really meant to be about and even give old pirates something new to shoot at.

When we were a part of one of the FOTM Pirate Alliances that ruled/blued low-sec Genesis, the most fun we had was when carebears/Militiabears would go postal and, successfully or not, try and storm us with a ragtag army of awkwardly fit Rifters, Drakes and Ravens. We wouldn't respond with caps, we'd just have a shootout and feel like Spartans.

To post this in the forums is a good way to attract attention. Not from those you want though. Now the Pirates, Gankers and very bad people know that you are a target that bleeds in the water. They will use the afore-mentioned finder agents to find YOU. My advice is to let it go. Consider it a lesson learned. Pursuing vengeance in this game is a good way to lose ships and find vendettas. There are people here who so very much want you to do this... because it will give them targets.
Either way, good luck. BTW I like having the pirates, gankers, and very bad people in the game - they add an element of fear and I like that in a game.

Always forgive your enemies; nothing annoys them so much.

So let me get this right. You jump into a lowsec system, Gonditsa, which is known to be regularly camped by Unprovoked Agression (a pirate Corporation) in a HORRIBLY fit Hurricane (http://eve-kill.net/?a=kill_detail&kll_id=12726276) and you think you can possibly get revenge against these guys? This is hilarious.

When you jump into lowsec, fully expect that your going to be attacked. That's why there's a friggen warning that pops up when you hit jump. Secondly, fix your Hurricane fit FFS. Minmatar ships use either projectiles or missiles, or a mix of both depending on the ship. Look at the info on your ship and see what bonuses they get and use the weapons it's designed for. You have shamed every Hurricane pilot by putting Railguns on it. Also, you see all those empty lowslots? Use them. I'll even help you out here man. These are two very decent Hurricane fits:

1.) Shield: http://eve.battleclinic.com/loadout/58544-Hurricane-shield-kiting-cane-give-him-some-love.html
2.) Armor: http://eve.battleclinic.com/loadout/41428-Hurricane-da-best-Cane.html

If you can't fit a Cane similar to that, you have no business in lowsec. Stay in highsec and keep training, and learn PVP from someone who actually knows what they are doing and has a record to back it up. Also, you pick one type of tank (Shield or Armor) and stick to it. Never, ever, for the love of baby Jesus, ever try to shield and armor tank it. You will die horrible deaths and be laughed at by people such as myself.

That being said i will now go get me some shrimps and wine, awaiting the tears, rage-quitting and final post from OP before he leaves EVE for a more suitable game.

HTFU and do not fly in lowsec if you can not handle the consequences. Thats pathetic or you are one of the worst trolls I´ve had the honor to feed ´till now.

PS.: Learn to use a ship in high sec first...then fit it properly and come to Aunenen. We have a ongoing operation against gate pirates there and would welcome your help.

This. Once you get the adrenaline rush from trying to hunt these guys, you will get bored because you cant catch them. Trouble is, now you need more, and nuet targets suddenly seem more appealing. Enjoy your path to the dark side Blink

1. Why not corporations? Find a decent one and learn the ropes.
2. The only bad player I see is you and your Hurricane fit.
