After starting eve today, being asked to download update and having to accept it (because normal download links are not provided) I've got it downloaded and installer started. However, I have noticed that Nullsoft Installer is attributed with a logo and a link of a third-party site: www.georgia.org/media (in the bottom left corner of the installer window)

Would CCP care to elaborate on how that site is related to the update process and whether any data becomes available to it?

Its been on the installer window for as long as I can remember now, which is about 3 years, it's legit.

Maybe they meant to link here instead:

http://www.georgia.org/INDUSTRIES/ENTERTAINMENT-INDUSTRY/DIGITAL-ENTERTAINMENT/Pages/gaming-companies.aspx

(first name on the list).

Link is just to the State of Georgia's website (i.e. it's fluff, just like any of the other US state websites).

Hmmm, I don't recall seeing it before. Maybe new launcher boosts vigilance somehow ... Or maybe because it is not as fast as old updating process was, you have more time to look around :)

I, for one, welcome our new, peachy overlords.

Kidding aside, it's always been in the installers for some time Smile.

This logo has in fact been in EVE installers and patchers for years.

Including that logo allows CCP Games to get tax breaks from the state of Georgia. It's been there for a long while, now.

Edit: I should add that other developers such as Hi-Rez also take advantage of this.
