I get a python error from the launcher:

more follows but the forum sees it as html and I can't post it.

repair.exe was suggested but says 'unknown option --buildxxxxxxx' when I do as instructed in the sticky.

Frustrated.

This is most likely the same issue I got. If you've got Internet Explorer open, close all windows, then try patching again. If that doesn't work, reboot and try patching before doing anything else; also don't touch any of the links in the launcher window.

Rebooting, let you know in a sec.

Good call. Patched to 100% after a reboot.

I wonder if this is related to having two accounts. I launch both from the same dir (its on an SSD for speed - don't have room for seperate eve dirs)

Launching both clients expecting to play may have left zombie processes in the background,

I can also confirm that running both clients works, after the patch. The patch is just touchy as all hadez, but I'm up and running, see you in game.

No, there's something wrong with opening the links in your browser. It somehow causes IE to open at least one (or more) files that are meant to be patched. This causes them to be locked for modifications, which prevents the patching process from being completed (i.e. applying the patch fails).
