EVE Online: Crucible 1.5 Macintosh Issues and Feedback

EVE Online: Crucible 1.5 has been successfully deployed.

Crucible 1.5 introduces the new launcher for EVE Online, new rookie ship models, several new DED complexes, as well as numerous watch list and UI improvements. Full patch notes are available here.

We are changing the patching process with the introduction of the new launcher. For more information please refer to this EVElopedia article and this forum thread.

General feedback about Crucible can be posted to the [url=https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=80363&find=unread[/url] thread.

Please use this format for reporting any issues in this thread:
• Description of problem, the more verbal the better
• Hardware info (Mac model, GPU, CPU, RAM etc.)
• OS version
• Step by step guide to what causes the issue
• Step by step guide to any workaround that has resolved the issue for you

Patch just ganked my client.

Model Name: iMac

Logged on for first time since update. Asked if I wanted to download patch. Downloaded fine. Asked if I was ready to quit and install. Said yes. Went to "this may take a few minutes dialog" and froze. Tried to re-launch client and it said it was broken.

Tried with client copy and same exact thing happened.

How should I proceed?

Launcher works fine.

Seems to have patched properly, however, when I click "play" I see the splash screen for a couple of seconds and then it closes. Not error message, pop up, just closes.


Hardware info:
Mac book pro 15"
2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
2 GB 667 MHz SDRAM

MacOSX 10.6.8

I have the same issue... new Launcher installation came up, hung, crashed... now entire client is screwed.. Can we get a fix for this please... ASAP!!...

Support just tells me to run repair.exe... on MAC OSX???

Multi client gone? used normal process of tweaking bundle name etc. but the new launcher reverts to base install copy.

Update: Is it looking for Cider inside the game/Contents/MacOS/Cider? Cos that file doesn't exist on my install (ls -a fails to find it), but a copy pre-patch has it on it.

Docked in Korama III-10, attempt to speak to R&D agent.
1st attempt: client freeze followed by exception when I said "request mission"
Subsequent attempts: agent shows as "offered" in agent view, client freeze when I attempt to open agent conversation window. Background is drawn but window is not rendered.

Have not yet tried with other agents (3 crashes is enough for one night).

Space, inventory, industry, wallet, skill queue interfaces all seem to be working correctly.

Aren't Caldari supposed to have a large signature?

I did a reinstall... still, Launcher install crashes on installation, mess's up entire client... so now I can't play eve till CCP decides to answer my petitions to which I have requested updates numerous times... no response.

Pointless in paying for a game that doesn't work.

When is starts to open the new patcher it crashes and destroys the client requiring me to redownload it.
Really need this fixed fast...

I open the client, it comes to the main menu, says the patcher is ready. Closes the client and beings to opent the patcher.
The patcher beings to load but hasn't fully opened yet.
It crashes and says its not responding.

you can't open the application because it may be damaged or incomplete

no fix yet for this disaster... most of my corpies are offline due to the Launcher installer crashing.

CCP's not responding... that's customer service for you,...

At the first attempt on the client 1 I waited a while but after I forcibly closed and the client is broken, the second try with 2 client I left to run the installer and the end was able to update the client.
Now I'm waiting to download the patch and I hope that works, but the first client is gone.
now how do I reinstall multiple clients if I have no instructions on that?

Same problem as #2. Both of my clients are now broken. Do I really have to download the entire client again? I will be angry if that is so.

Post patch for me, its a massive performance drop. From smooth to slow and choppy. Ran my client on 1280x800 Med and High settings before, now even placing settings on Low, its still slow and choppy. Tried restarting the client, and restarting my computer to no effect. Ugh

- Launcher crashed at end of download
- Restarting shows "client is ready" and the thermometer progress bar all yellow
- Pressing Play shows splash screen for 5 seconds then... nothing
