EVE Launcher installation

The nightmare begins again! Reinstalled the game everything was fine last night. Today the problems started again? Remove this lancher CCP do what? We pay to play. Not to busting nerves!

Launcher freezes, reinstall does nothing for me. I got past the launcher once, thats it. I cancelled my accts at this point simply because I dont see them offering any solution. Been working on this for 3 days now. Every other program works fine, except eve. I'm not in a position to buy a whole new system to solve whatever they did.

Honestly, I'm pretty disappointed in CCP. If you can't handle something like this then how is Dust going to turn out? Come up with a solution or lose a customers. Simple as that.

After the lanucher update this morning the game settings have all been reset as a fresh install,

loat chat channels
lost overview settings
all game settings back to defaul

Thanks CCP theres another 40 mins of my life wasted resetting evertthing (well what i could remeber anyway

LOL and logged out then back in after setting everthing back up and everything is back before the patch WTF

Still having some issues with the launcher myself.

As far as patching...didnt have major issues getting it to work. Only time was on the original launch day.. i kept getting very similar errors to what others were getting, only if i tried to interact with the launcher during patching. If i were to click on a link, it would throw an error.. if i left it alone during the patch process.. it chugged happily along. It apparently wants to be left alone while working. I am even using ESET.. never had any issues with it ever.. nothing with it blocking downloads/etc w/ the launcher and patch. I do leave it in "interactive" mode as far as firewall access goes.. so i think i do remember having the patch download failing intially.. then the req for access came up.. i allowed, and restarted the patch download and it worked. Since launch day, havnt had any issues with any of the patches since.

There are some other oddies about the launcher even w/ the 1.11 update that dont seem right.
Links still do not work.. they still open a blank IE window and IE is updated. Iv noticed by clicking and dragging the links off the launcher onto the desktop.. they do create internet url link files.. and the url thats saved in the file comes out like this " launcher:openurl:https://secure.eveonline.com/" Although IE doesnt show anything in the URL bar when it opens.. i suspect its trying to process these other tags which dont relate to opening a web page.

And, every time you click play.. in the task manager, the launcher apparently starts cmd.exe (32b) and conhost.exe (64b), per each click of the play button. So if you want multiple accounts, these stay running in the background while each respective exefile.exe is running, even after the launcher is closed. This doesnt need to happen... the old eve launcher (which i believe just made sure the exe file and config files were viable) would load, and apparently just call the exefile.exe directly. I can get around this just by running exefile.exe as many times as needed for # of clients wanted.

Running client in regular or as admin make no difference from what iv seen.

i downloaded the full client the 3rd time, and since it is the latest ver. atm i can get in now simply becuase there is no patch need to update thru the RUBBISH LAUNCHER! GJ CCP, REALLY GJ, on constantly braking things that were working.

Glad I decided to look at the forums before setting up my five accounts from scratch. Seeing this post, I just rebooted the launcher and everything was back to what it should be.

So I download the patch, 3.18Gb for me, and gets to 2.8 before I have to call it a night. No problem though cos the new launcher means I'll only have to download 0.4Gb tomorrow!? Right!?

Wrong, boot up the launcher today and it's just started downloading 3.2Gb again from scratch. Just as well I have unlimited internet Straight

I like how i cant play behind a firewall with this launcher. why did you even decide to go to a launcher does it work on a different port?

and does it not look like the world of tanks launcher?

I wiped my system, reinstalled the OS, then reinstalled EVE. I hope I dont have to do this again. Stop breaking my stuff CCP.What?

I've problems when the launcher itself is updated, i've to deactivate my antivirus software for updating this launcher. Once the launcher is updated i can update EvE client with my antivirus software active, so, the problem is the launcher. I've tried dozens of application, game launchers and i never have any problems with my antivirus.

This is very frustrating Cry

There is a bug report, Bug Report #129841 about this.

Launcher has the 64bit compatible issue. I cannot play eve anymore. Please see below the error log.

i have been also having problems since the new launcher.... i think it very unfair that we pay for eve but don't get to play it.. i have tried everything what you guys post even uninstalled eve and re installed it and guess what still nothing..... can some one please post me the patch 352940 manual download.... thank you.

Starts to Create patch, gets to 25% then starts again, it's been doing this for half an hour....

Im trying to fix this for the last 4 days......nothing yet. I think im gonna end my subscribe cose i can't play anyway.Grate job CCP with that UBER LAUNCHER. . . .yea we all need it so badly,cose we just CAN'T play witout it.It should give us more DETAILS that we need so.....so much before we start the actual game.

same here.

are you using full installed client or a copy on usb hdd ?

i've try to start manually "C:\Program Files\CCP\EVE\bin\ExeFile.exe" (Old Way FTW), download finished correctly but when patch must be apply got error "C:\Users\xxxxxxx\AppData\Local\Temp\nsj72C.tmp" win_patch_something.log :

Yes we all have the same problem cose every time you,ve launch the game there is a new problem (From the List) So download to the same % etc. + "My Launcher" doesn't tolerate 64bit system that i was runing all this time WORKING VERSION of EVE.

I have now the same problem like others. Trying patch from 352940 to 353549 now and it always end on 25% and start again. Running on 64bit Win7.

Are You using ESET SMART SECURITY (NOD32) ? It seems that is the main problem.

I was able to Instal and launch the game on old laptop with Vista 32bit standard system firewall and avira free antivirus. . . . the fps are less than low but im able to set my skills......So what CCP doesn't recognize NOD's? is there a reason for this?
