It seems as though some alliances just don't get it. Whether they are just dumb, or refuse to read into corps they solicit. I know the mmo mentality is strong in this game, and people want to form alliances to be..... recognized maybe? I really don't know what it is. Just a bunch of loser mentalities in most. Hey we got 1000 active people, man we are badazz. PFFFT.

A4D are first person shooter mentalities. MMO's in general are for people who need to get laid more often. Hey thats an idea, go get laid. Hire a hooker if need be.

So once again,

Our solo dessy contest is still ongoing, so I've decided to bring ya fellas how I managed to get my kills so far.

Kill n.º1
There I am on my Cormorant when I see a Tornado on scan near a gate. Usually this means sniper, but no bubble on scan. A quick peek on local and he seems to have a mate or alt from same corp. A bit warping around shows he's on a sabre.

The nice part is that the Sabre on station and Tornado is on gate 30AU away. They are not fully prepared as seems...

Nasty part of snipers is that they usually have a safe on a gate, but this fella here is so confident that seems to be behind a celestial, at 0km/s. I wondered if a couple more warp ins could get me on top of him...

Kill - 140mil Tornado

Kill n.º 2
If you want many targets on a Dessy, usually HED-GP is the place to go near curse. Entry point from hi-sec, pipe, CVA nearby and AAA pets moving along all the time.

Unfortunatly AAA seems to have redeployed out of Catch, so place was dead and I head home :(

As I jump into SV5 a wolf arrives on the gate, but he seemed to have a special interest on me. Suddenly, I was more important than his journey. I felt honored!

Kill - 45mil Wolf

Kill n.º 3
I go AAA space again. I know I can always count on them for a fair fight!

As I enter system, I see a retribution 30km off. It starts locking me, but holds from coming for the kill.

Strange... would the retribution be waiting for backup? Against a pitiful dessy? Anyway, scan is clear and I like a good MWD dance with people I never seen on my life, until he finally redboxes.

How rude!

Also, I get a local spike. Seems more wanted to dance with me, but I'm a 1 man/pilot/ship 15 seconds relationship lover, so after the retribution erupts on the usual ball of light, I decide to bail out, as soon as the Hurricane and Scymis come out of warp.

Kill - 44 mil Retri

Kill n.º 4
I spot a 3 man frig camp and I was itchy to try the Maller I had just bought.

Journey took me about 5 minutes, and once I arrive the 3 frig gang had grown a Talos and a Falcon... So you can imagine what happened to my brand new ship.

Anyway, I'm a slow learner, and I fail to realize I have no chance against them, so I bring my trusted Cormy (probalby not the same exact one cause they tend to burst in flashy lights too, but you get the deal!)

Seeing me again in local they start out full chase on me. After all II had just lost to them a fail T1 cruiser! 10 minutes of warp arounds, warp offs, jump ins and jump outs and I manage the following cenario.

Harpy agressed and Falcon 15km off the gate on Utopia System
Overconfident Ares on Litom at 0km on gate.
Talos nowhere to be seen

Kill - 30mil Ares

I still lost the isk race, but what can I say, I'm a forgive and forget guy.

Kill.º 5
There I am again on AAA space, wondering when they coming back, and I spot a 10 man Tier 3 BC gang (mostly oracles), and few tackle, Ares, Stilleto and Sabre.

I warp to a ping and the Sabre has a bubble up. Also Ares starts burning at me. How typical....

On a normal cenario I'd try the good old "warp 100km at range on gate and **** overconfident tackler while fleet watches him die" but bubble messes that up.

Plan B - Warp to celestial. Stilleto follows. Still, celestial is too close to his fleet, only 2AU, so try again on celestial 25AU away, Also Stilleto seems to have warped at 0km.... I wonder....

Kill - 55mil Stilleto

Pilot actually convo'd me, saying I did not even had the notion on how lucky I was.

Total of 240 mil so far.

But EVE is not made fully of victories.

I did lost 2 proper solo engagements (one vs a vengeance and another vs a ishkur) and plus 4 vs gatecamps. Remeber if you go out solo on a slow, low EHP, T1 ship, lots of losses gonna happen to overnumbering oponents.

...still fun though!

Edit - I can't seem to be able to post links... You'll just have to take my word for it XD

It is day 9 of the two week T1 Destroyer Event. I had been out of town so my two Thrasher kills with a single Coercer didn't hold for very long. We are giving away 3 Recons for the top three places and 3 Bombers for the next three places. And there were so many good kills, I was no longer in the running.

Since some of the other guys kill a Tornado, and some Dramiels, I knew I had to go big or go home. I decided to set up shop in ARG, I was looking for a system that wasn't populated but got tons of traffic. I moved my scout into VOL-MI and was watching the gate.

My alt in my Cormorant, and my main in a cloaky Sabre sat at a tactical in 9pX. I set up a drag bubble in ARG in line from VOL-MI and now I was ready.. Waiting...waiting...nothing. Then I saw it...a solo Cyclone landing on the ARG gate...he jumped. I waited 5 second, and jumped my alt in and burned to my bubble. I jumped my main in also, and held cloak.

The Cyclone landed right on top of me, I webbed and scrambled him, blasters blazing. I started taking heavy damage, So I set orbit with my main around the 9PX gate, and locked up my alt... my secret weapon was now engaged, Scimitar reps. I managed to keep my Cormorant alive fairly easily, and the Cyclone slowly slowly was starting to die.

Since he couldn't kill the Corm, he was not going for the scimitar, but since he was webbed, he was too slow. Although it technically was not a solo kill, the kill mail says otherwise.

We had 6 guys on station, so one of them decides it's time to go help EVE economy, and starts up a fleet. Just the typical T1 cruiser suicide roam. Couple Moas, couple rupture, and a stabber. A Sabre pilot was already out to hunt solo, so fleet goes out to meet him.

Fortunatly, we did not needed to go far. Another mate spots a frig gang on ARG. Kitsune, Taranis, Firetail and some other small tackle. Frigate gang jumps into VOL-MI and sees our Sabre on a ping above the gate. They start burning to our Sabre.
Our fleet is on the gate to VOL-MI, but since it's a 30+AU jump, FC calls the Sabre to a nearby position or he could get raped before help arrives, so the drag and bait game commences.

The frig gang decides not to chase the Sabre to 8G gate, and goes K-B. We loose hope of baiting them, and all fleet jumps and goes K-B too. At this point we don't expect an engagement with them, but K-B was a good spot to go anyway. Our sabre arrives 1st and reports the kisune and taranis on the gate at 0km. "Primary the Kitsune" calls the FC. As expected it jumps, and as soon as the all fleet arrives, the Taranis decides to pull range instead of warping off or jumping out. Unfortunatly he could not pull enough range, and pops.

Taranis 20mil

Back to the roam, our scout spots a 5 man frig gang and a... tornado, all together. Scout begins the process of baiting the enemy gang to the N3 gate, where our fleet waits. They are eager to engage, so as soon as he warps, all enemy gang makes the same. At the N3 gate, where our bait lies happilly, they agress imediatly, without even sending a scout through the gate.
Tornado lands 70km off at same time that our gang jumps into SG. FC imediatly calls everyone to burn at him and drop that fat fish.

Tornado does not even realizes how fast he got scrammed. Along with the Tornado, rest of gang looses a Crusader, Rifter a a pod

Tornado - 120 mil
Rifter - 12 mil
Crusader - 26 mil
Pod - 85 mil

We did lost a rupture and a pod as all the frigs managed to scram and web him, and the tornado manage to still make a couple shots before going down.

5 kills (250mil) and 1 loss (40mil)

You won't recognize my name from previous posts on this thread because I am new in A4D, I am still a trial and also new in Curse and Null. Before I get to the smoke and explosions I will tell you a bit about what you might find as a new member. First if you are considering joining don't be intimidated by the kill board. Being Battleclinic rated currently at 135 had me thinking, that I might not fit in to this hardcore group. The goal of this corp is fun. Yes winning is important but this is a warm and welcoming a group of miscreants as I have met in this imaginary world. If you meet the requirements, and want to get in your ships and PVP then really give us a shot.

There is a European contingent and a US/Canadian group. We tend to overlap a bit during the day. Which means on those odd days when you find some time to play outside of your normal play time you are still likely to find a gang or group to join. I am in the US time zone and I would guess our prime time is usually 9:00 PM Eastern.

The US group likes to roam. Small groups from 3 to 7 players make up the normal size fleet. Last night started out like most. Our FC Admiral Fearless, announced a T1 Cruiser Roam, and that we should not be too in love with our ships, because coming back in them was not all that important to the mission.

So while were getting ready a call comes out some tourists might be incoming to our home system, and we should muster on the gate in whatever stage of readiness we were in. Most of us were already in our t1 cruisers and two were still in battle cruisers so we formed up on the gate. The other side of this particular gate was being bubble camped so when the Rupture pilot got through it he was feeling pretty good about life, which unfortunately lasted only a moment when the 8 of us were there to greet him. No it was not a good fight, but what was he doing in our system anyway. (Kill 1)

So Kill number one and the roam was still in our home system. We had a route laid out and for a good number of jumps there was nothing much to get our attention. Our scout, Dr. Eagleye, announced that he was on to something interesting. A Domi, Thorax, Myrm, with a Taranis scout were in system with him. By that point we had one Sabre and about 7 t1 cruisers and thought it would be an interesting fight. We played cat and mouse with them for almost 20 minutes bumping into the Taranis 4 or 5 times but they apparently were looking for better odds and we finally gave up chasing them.

We were fairly near the end of our route when Dr. Eagle Eye catches scent of some prey. A very short while later we were all in warp to an anomaly. When we landed there was Abaddon and a Drake. The Drake managed to bug out and by the time the smoke had cleared we had our second kill of the roam. A fairly blingy 377,865,893.00 Abaddon and his pod, (Kills 2 and 3) and still no losses. Can it get any better. Ummm yeah!!!

Just a few moments later a scout announces he is on the far side of a gate from us and there was a Sabre. He was told to hold cloak while we raced to the gate. He then broke cloak and made the wounded rabbit run back to the gate to bring out the killer instinct in that Sabre. The Sabre engaged we jumped the battle was short. Oddly when the Sabre was just about dead his buddy warped in, in a Thrasher. What was he thinking? Sabre and Pod, Thrasher (Kills 4, 5, and 6. no losses) Can it get any better? Hell Yeah!!!!!!

We started to loot the field and somebody broke into coms with. “Oh wow!.....Oh Wow...Oh Wow!!”
Finally after catching his breath he told us what was going on. He was looting a cargo ship which had been killed by the Sabre and Thrasher and in it were TWO TENGUs!!!! Can it get any better than this....don’t think so. A corp mate showed up with a hauler, moved one into a station for later retrieval and carried the other one home. On the way home we ran into a Maelstrom and two Scimitars and while we would have dearly loved to engage them we had a bit more cargo than we were willing to risk. They thought we were running from them so they chased us all the way back to our home system. Before we drop our loot and turn around, they had retreated and the fleet was called.

Looking for a new corp? Come fly with us.

Went for a roam to the honey hole again, this time there was nothing to speak of. One of the 3B guys said this other system in Immensea would be a good destination so we decided to head that way for fun. Although we found lots in local…nothing was active and we didn’t feel would be active any time soon.

We decided to head back to HED-GP to see what trouble we could get into. Our Scout, which seemed a little bit hyper, found an Orca, 4 jumps away from us. He warp scrambled the Orca and was pounding him. He was holding off his damage trying to bring more people into the fight.

Within a minute, the enemies brought in a Raptor, Naga, Loki, and Hurricane. Our scout was tanking them fairly easily and we were still two jumps out. We ended up landing, on top of the Orca…it went down, we bubbled the Naga, and it went down. Although we lost our Cyclone, we got a few really good kills. We decided we should drop off loot before we hit HED-GP.

As we entered OSHT our buddies from 3B decided to engage us. They had a Maelstrom a Caracal, and two Scimitars. Our plan was use our EC-300s to jam one scimitar and then kill the second. Unfortunately…most of us had damage drones and we just didn’t get the first one down in time. We got our damage on the second one but he jumped out.

We ended up losing some of our damage, as the Maelstrom was a beast. We went to attack the Maelstrom finally but the Scimitar came back in, by the time we had lost a third of our DPS and a third Scimitar showed up. We decided that we no longer had enough DPS to win, so we pulled up. All and all it was a fun and fair fight…not sure if we would have changed anything. It was worth the trip. We never made it to HED-GP.

For a Sunday night it was very dead. We were playing with some experimental builds and were motoring around with a couple of Ferox’s, a Hurricane, Stabber Fleet Issue, Tengu, Vagabond, Crow. It was a hodgepodge gang and really wasn’t build for any specific task.

We decided to see what was up with Legio Astartes in HY-, and as usual, the carebears were undocking, re-docking, undocking re-docking, the usual station games. Their entire pvp aside from the usual “Lets bring 50 guys” is undocking a battleship, then waiting form something to arrive and then undock a carrier to repair the battleship. It is truly pathetic, but that is most carebear alliances in a nutshell.

We decided to move the three jumps to toy with En Garde. Our scout picked up a Maelstrom and it was trying to bait our bait ship…but once we started to engage, the Maelstrom pilot thought…Ferox attacking a Maelstrom…something is up. Our FC commanded our Crow to jump in and that was when the Maelstrom started to bug out. He warped to the outbound gate.

Our Crow landed at the same time and followed the lone battleship in to BUZ. Within a second or so our Crow had the Maelstrom pointed. The rest of the gang warped to the outbound gate, but we jumped only a Ferox in to help the Crow thinking that the BS may get back to the gate. Since the Maelstrom was webbed, it decided to fight back.

Once red boxed, we all of course jumped in and joined in on the fun. Splash one Battleship. As we were heading back we caught wind of Mackinaw and started chasing him. He was faster than most Mackinaws and we were too late for a few tackles. We lost him in the station in GE-. Oh well.

We decided to head home, it was suggested that we could go to D87 and take on 3B again, but we thought that fighting 3 Scimitars again may be a bit much for our DPS challenged gang. We decided to head toward Litom, but a couple of the guys decided it was time for bed and logged out. Now we were really, really low on DPS.

We ran in to a WRG gang camping the gate in our path out, they always carry ECM drones and had 3x our DPS, so we called it a night and logged in Litom. We only got the one kill, but at least I wasn’t camping a gate which I HATE.

A DAY OF CARNAGE

Yesterday was perhaps one of the most fun pvp Tuesdays that I can recall for sometime. I was doing a rare thing by hanging out with some of the day shift guys on a large bubble effectively shutting down traffic through the CL-85V gate. Although both FC’s were afk, our backup scouts picked up a fleet of 12 battle cruisers coming from 8G.

We decided to reship into our standard, Logi fleet. We managed to get more in our fleet than expected…we managed to get six Drakes two Basilisks, with a Machariel and Tengu joining in. The other gang really had zero chance, we had Logi and they didn’t. We managed to kill a few Drakes and their Tengu with zero losses. Unfortunately we didn’t have enough fast ships to get everything tackled so a lot got away.

4 Kills 0 Losses

Our Fleet: Stabber Fleet x 3, Vagabond, Moa, Rupture.

The second fight was fairly accidental; we were heading to HED-GP when 3B caught wind of us coming to their D87 gate. 3B always likes to fight so they formed up. Cal7 was scouting in a Moa and kiting a Stabber Fleet Issue, and a Harpy. We had just landed on the gate so we jumped in and went for the SFI. Shorthly there after they had a Scimitar land on gate, then a second.

Although I myself was jammed the FC called for ECM drones on the second Scimitar, we put all of our damage on the first Scimitar and we managed to wrestle him down. All damage then was put on the second Scimitar that jumped out. Primary target was now once again the Stabber Fleet Issue…we manage to get him down fairly quickly once he was scrambled. MaxStriker had held his point on the Harpy.

They had two additional battle cruisers warp to the gate, but at time the fight was over, they jumped out and got away with the second Scimitar. It was a pretty good fight that could have went either way. This time however we managed to bring the correct drones for the job. Hats off to 3B for bringing it as usual.

3 Kills 0 Losses

After docking up to repair modules, we decided to finally head to HED-GP after all. Since we didn’t lose anything in the last fight Cal7 was scouting. He jumped in to HED…5 in local. He checked out the Keberz gate and as he landed a CVA Hurricane warped back to the SV5 gate. On our side there was a CVA Oracle now 500k above us…a fight was brewing.

The CVA Hurricane jumped in to us and we started hitting him. We took him down to low shields very fast but he was repairing up a storm. He obviously had an ancillary shield booster on…so we kept damage on him and stayed out of range until he ran out of cap boosters. By that time the Oracle and Talos were in the fight.

We pointed both the other battle cruisers, and threw our ECM Drones on them. Effectively taking the Talos and Oracle out of the fight. We eventually wore down the Hurricane and dropped the Talos in seconds. The Oracle was burning away, but our Stabbers were faster and caught up to him, eventually downing the third batte cruiser.

3 Kills 0 Losses

Our beloved other CEO had logged in and was catching up with us, but we decided to go to Providence a bit, we caught a Drake jumping into us, but you could tell that CVA was rallying the troops…they brought in a bait Scorpion but he jammed many of us out. We lost a Stabber Fleet, Rupture, Moa, and only got the one Drake. By this time they had Scorp, Oracle, 2 Drakes, Cyclone…. and a few others that I didn’t stick around to see.

1 Kill 3 Losses

About that time, we had one of our Stabber Fleets die, and another log out due to alcohol intake. That left us with our 2 Stabber Fleets, Vagabond, and a Jaguar. We figured we could go to the honey hole and mess around some. So we traveled to Catch and looked around. We had just missed a Nightmare tackle, and were getting tired. We waited at a gate to see if they would form up…. nope. But they did suicide a Myrmidon into us. We then went home.

We saw out of sight coming our way with two Oniros's a BC, 3 assault frigs, Arazu. We engaged them with our T1 Cruiser gang, but couldn't get enough DPS to take down the Oniros. I don't think our drones even got a cycle on the second. The Oniros jumped out in Structure, but we perished fighting our asses off.

0 Kills 5 Losses (all t1 cruisers)

We decided to reship, and get in our standard Logistics fleet, but Out of Sight turned and went the other day, which is pretty good. Although we were outgunned originally, when we reshipped, they had no chance. Its all good, its always fun to fight Out of Sight. They will be back sometime, we will be waiting.

SInce we had a logi fleet up and no where to go, we decided to go through D87 and see if 3B was active...alas they were not. So we went to ZXIC to see if there was any trouble we could get into...on the way, we ran into a Tier3 fleet but they didn't want to engage a Logi fleet...I don't blame them. They had no chance.

While moving along we ran into a 40 man gang, but we let them pass...F that.

We got to the honey hole and found a Nightmare, our covert ops got a tackle, but was tackled by drones. We lost the tackle and the only thing we saw on that trip. We motored on home but found nothing in Litom or Utopia gates. We did find some guys ganking in Jorund, but they went to a POS, nothing else was found, we went home.

I checked Battleclinic today to see how we were doing with our corp. goal of being in the top 100 corp. There we were sandwiched between blob one (134 FinFleet) and blob two (136 The Maverick Navy). That is quite a feat considering those are two huge corporations that often engage in SOV warfare and cap fighting.

To be fair, comparing those to corps to ours would be not fair to either of us. We both have different goals, different philosophies, and engage in vastly different play styles. FinFleet for instance had more kills in a gang > 30 yesterday than we have had all year. The Maverick Navy was the same…

It’s not that I am saying we are better than either, I am not. I am just saying that we are different. We get our kills in gangs mostly less than 10, I know the names of everyone in my gang, I know their capabilities, I know where they need to practice, and what they need to do to get better, and vice versa. More importantly we know what each other are going to do before we do it. We know our jobs and do them well.

If you are looking for large fleet warfare, I highly suggest FinFleet or The Maverick Navy, I know a lot of their members and they are really good pilots, But if you want small fleets and small fleets ONLY…I suggest you give us a try. That is all we do. By the way, those other two corps are off for a deployment, we are stationary.

Eve was wonderful to us yesterday. It all started when we decided to take a small fleet out containing 5 Stabber fleet issues, and a Talos. We went to our usual hunting grounds and did locate a group of guys camping a gate in 2 Megathrons, 3 hurricanes, and blackbird, Rapier we decided to take a pass. Although we could have held our own, the risk was not worth the reward.

So we decided to head toward Immensea to see what was happening there. As we landed on the GJO gate a Talos jumped into us and was tackled. Although he was very very fast, he was not as fast as the fleet stabber. He said in local he probably should have warped off…I tend to agree.

We made an executive decision and headed to Tenerifis region instead. Although there were lots of blips on the map, not many were out and about. Ironically enough an AAA Purifier landed uncloaked next to us and died.

Since we were having problems finding targets, we decided to head back to HY- to see if the gate camp had dispatched, it had. Although there was nothing else to kill, so we decided to visit D87 to see what 3B alliance was doing. In another twist if irony, their main FC, landed on the gate as we did, he bounced his vagabond back and forth until we finally killed him.

Not much else was happening, so we motored back home. As we were landing on station, a scout picked up a small long and hard alliance fleet coming our way with a Typhoon, Armageddon, Hurricane, and some other random crap. We reshipped into our standard shield fleet ships and dispatched.

Roam 1 Result
7 Kills 0 Losses

An hour later, we decided to head out on a similar roam. It was getting late, but we had 5 willing to go. 2 Vagabonds and 3 Fleet stabbers. Our scout, managed to find a Raven in a plex, so we killed him. We did managed to find some targets, but they fleeted up a huge blob and got a couple of us. It happens.

A4D just passed up Sharks with Frickin’ Laser Beams to eek up to the Battle Clinic #133…not bad, not bad at all. We are in good company, that is a fine corp, and since we officially passed Finfleet last week, I am quite happy with the performance of our corporation. Everyone is buying into our philosophy, and what we do.

I had the honor of hanging out with many of our European players this weekend, Mellivora, Thabela, Faldybanny, Mauldrid this weekend and I have to admit, I was loving every minute of it. Many times I simply don’t have time to play when they are active; what can I say…we all have families, we are all busy. I am just happy to have a group of players that rock it every day.

So lets get in to my battle summaries. Engaging in someone else’s home system is really difficult at times. You have limited resources and they have unlimited resources. I always say nothing good ever happens on a station. For some reason we decided to engage our hodge podge crap fleet on the AAA home system, needless to say, in true AAA blob fashion, we got out shipped…Caps, Battleships, it was ugly.

On another day, we fought a Brushie Brushie Brushie gang with 5 when they had logi and four…we ended up winning, but it could have went either way. Although they were not on the station, we were in their home system. Luckily we figured out how to counter their dual scimitar staple fleet.

Conversely we had two fights with Long and Hard Alliance, one in our system, one in theirs….guess who won each? The home team. Although I wouldn’t confuse LAH with 0utbreak or anything, but LAH does pose some difficulties if you are not prepared for them. They have an overwhelming tendency to motor up and down the pipe with multiple tanked battleships and support. 3000 DPS with ECM drones. OUCH

In another engagement, we stuck around too long and unleashed the Russian blob somewhere in Detroid region. We had a good fleet, but they had 25, they undocked just enough to beat our 5 Fleet Stabbers and Vagabonds. We lost two but we didn’t have to, we stuck around way way WAY too long.

Most of the time, I feel if we have similar numbers we can brawl with the best of them…but the lesson of the day is don’t stick around in these systems to get a fight…If you do, don’t show your entire hand. Anyone will form up 30 to take on your fleet of 10…its human nature. Show them 3, they will then send 10, then it is a fight. Sometimes however I wish we would listen to our own philosophy.

This weekends record.

Well we went against the retirement club last night. Got really tired of seeing their banded 3 alliance rolling through K-qwhe on their nightly 30 man hacs scimi fleets. So when we got word that a 30 man frig fleet was coming we were like hell yeah. Well it seems there were assumptions made as to the fleet makeup instead of hard intel. On the flip-side, the guy gave what he had, and seeing how the numbers were high, meh its all good.

Ends up it is a munnin / scimtar fleet. and they outnumber us 27 to 12. Not good odds in any book. We were not setup for this gang as we were coming back from chasing CVA. I guess we know what they were running from. Well we engaged anywway, got burned as they went 67 percent on us. WAIT A MIN, 67% and they outnumbered us 27 to 12. Hey that aint bad. I wouldnt have liked to lost that many but I think that sy\s alot about us.

The numbers are a little skewed as smart bombs on both sides were going off. also open in new window for it to work

About once a week we go on a roam in what we call a Jihad fleet. Our definition of a Jihad fleet used to be a T1 ship with T1 fittings (even drones). Our entire goal was go out and kill the most expensive ship we can find. Since these ships were suicidal in nature, we typically went scout less, jumped blind, and often perished in a blaze of flying sheep dung.
We have altered the Jihad to include T2 fittings. We found that finding T1 parts in Curse was difficult. So we threw caution to the wind and fit our ships up like a bawss (youtube the lonely island…like a boss). Last night we had one such fleets, we started out with 3 Rupture’s and 3 Thorax’s.

We started off the roam with a bang…a Tempest randomly warped to the gate in our home system. He tried making a run for it but we had too many webs between us. I was hoping that it may be a hot drop so we could kill something expensive before we lost our cruisers, but alas…it was only a gank.

We visited 3B in D87, but they weren’t formed up. We had a stabber fleet tackled for a second but his momentum took him to jump range. He had mentioned that we were noobs in local, but he didn’t know that we didn’t have a single cruiser with a lock time that could lock him on the other side. Our only hope was to catch him as he approached the gate and hope to hold him long enough to get webs, and vaporize him before he could get to the gate. Luck wasn’t on our side.

There was a 30 man gang in SV5, but we weren’t scared, we were looking to die. But when we found out that there was a T1 gang similar to ours on the FS9 gate, we decided it wasn’t worth the loss. They did send a couple crap ships over and we managed to kill a Thrasher…no big deal. Since this group was moving slower than a geriatric sock hop we circumvented them and warped to the HED-GP gate.

We moved down the pipe to visit HED-GP. It is a long warp from SV5 to the Kebers gate and we didn’t have a single ship that could hold a tackle long enough on the group that was sitting there. The bad guys had a Talos, Deimos, Loki, and something else. We did the Leroy Muhammad and jumped in and warped to the Kebers gate hoping they would notice us in crap fleet and stay but; they didn’t want any part of us and warped off. We had a tackle on one of them for a brief moment but they were faster and got out of range.

We the long way around catch as we hadn’t been up there for a while. But I remember why now, there isn’t crap up there and isn’t worth the trip. We were 12 jumps out of home and caught wind of a battleship gang heading through our system. They moved out just as we arrived. We decided that although we could chase them down, we had too many guys that needed to get to sleep. We determined it would take at least an hour to locate and bait them into fighting. Battleships in Curse??? Go back to lowsec clown.

I can honestly say that last night was a blast. It was a rare night where we had 16 people active and someone mentioned that we take out something weird. My good friend Mahes Ra said Exequror gang. At first we scoffed at the idea then we thought…why not. So of the 16 of us that were active, 6 of us were stupid enough to try it.

At first we were going to try random fits, I had a shield tanked one that got around 260dps but I thought it sucked, so we decided to with remote reps. Since small and medium armor repairers weren’t in abundance, we had a mixed bag of random fits. Most of us had around 200 DPS, but since there were six of us, we felt that was enough.

We started off by heading out to see NI4NI and Brushie Brushie Brushie. There were only three in local and we couldn’t find any of them active, so we warped to the 0SHT gate. On the other side of the gate was Tribal Trogdor in a Hurricane. Cal engaged him on the other side. True to form, Tribal shot rainbows out of his arse and jumped into our awaiting gang of Exequror DOOM.

He held cloak and decided to run, we caught him and subsequently killed him. We wanted to go to HED-GP, but they had brought back up from a gayte camp down the pipe a ways. We lost one, but most of us got away. We decided to head back home and join the other fleet. Since I was the scout, I jumped in to VOL-MI first, only to get caught by a 18 man smack talking Retirement Club gang touting in local their awesomeness as they killed my Exequror. On a bright note, I took one for the team and everyone else survived.

1 Kill 2 Losses

The rest of the Exeq fleet circumvented the blob and reshipped into our other gang which had formed along with our 6PS friends. We had three guardians, and a bunch of armor ships. We decided to go and try and find the two that had just blobbed us by forming a proper fleet. Our gang comprised of 3 Guardians, 5 Stabber Fleet Issues, Hurricane, Zealot, Talos, Harbinger and Absolution.

We managed to hide our Guardians and only bring in the Stabbers and Absolution. The Brushie/NI4NI guys brought about 13 shield tankers with a rook and 3 Scimitars. Once they engaged, our backup was brought in and the fight began. I put my guns on the primary, and threw my drones on their Sabre keeping him off the field. Within seconds I was jammed...typical for Curse. I watched as our gang was systematically calling targets.

At this point the enemy decided they had enough, de-agressed and jumped out. Their Scimitar pilots had aggressed with Smart Bombs couldn’t leave. We popped two of the three Scimitars but we were all aggressed so we couldn't give chase.. It’s too bad; it would have been a good fight. But to be honest, we had the stronger gang and things happened as they should have. Unlike the gang that killed my Exequror, we didn’t gloat about winning a fight we were supposed to win.

2 Kills 0 Losses

At this point we were hell bent on chasing down that retirement club gang. We had fought them a couple nights ago and all they did was smack talk about their awesomeness. Although we fought outnumbered 2-1, they still ran their yaps like they accomplished something really awesome. Hint: Your Muninn gang was supposed to win…and you weren’t supposed to take that many losses.

Anyway, we chased this 13 man bc gang down into HED, but they ran into Keberz. I guess since the numbers were even they weren’t interested, but we both knew that they had no chance to win. But to be honest, most blob alliances have to have 2-1 numbers as most of their members are simply followers that can’t do anything unless they are told. And THAT is why we rejected their offer to merge with one of their corps…well that and alliances are for weak minded lemmings. (Yes, I hate them all, all of A4D hates them all)

0 Kills 0 Losses

On the way back home we decided to visit Long and Hard in Litom. This is a lowsec group that moved into Curse. They pose challenges that we are not accustomed to as they fly battleships. So we sent in myself, Bullmastiff, and Mahes. We were told to get on station and aggress whatever we could. They undocked an Armageddon and we try to get a bump, but he re-docks over the next five minutes this process repeats about 3-4 times. We figured that he was trying to keep us occupied while he called for backup.

Finally the Armageddon aggressed our Talos on station, we then returned fire. The Armageddon deployed drones on the Talos and now Mahes was taking a lot of damage. We lessened the damage by tracking disrupting the Armageddon, and we call in the troops. We got the reps on just in time and took down the battleship in seconds.

When leaving we saw that in fact he had sent for backup, he had two Hurricanes that he was going to use to do exactly what we did to him. I commend him for the setup, he played it smart but he was one scout short. I refuse to rejoice over a gank, but I respect his attempt at a trap. We simply out foxed the fox.

A few days ago I posted how I got a few kills on the destroyer challenge we had.

I took some of the the fotage I made with destroyers, added some other footage using cheap crap and made a Video with it.

You can check it out on

https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=132016&find=unread

or directly on youtube

http://youtu.be/XobTYUGY5Yo

Though my Video is mostly solo stuff, A4D is all about the team and flying smart, but if you are feeling the bloodlust and mates are afk cause the wifes are giving them the ****, you are more than welcome to go grab a ship and fill the killboard.

There is an important A4D contribution "behind the scenes". A4D has helped me on how to engage certain foes, how to fly some kind of ships and how to fit them "out the box" for a good surprise result. It is pretty much common for me to report a live situation on comms and getting instant feedback on my mates on how to take the best of each case... And most of the times, the input of my mates pretty much helped turning the tide.

It may be me flying on this Video, but many other corp mates are way more able than me to fight outgunned, outclassed and outnumbred.

Labels…

Every corporation or alliance gets labeled as something. You have your Low Sec Pirate corps, you blobbing alliance, your carebears, and your carebears with teeth. There are so many labels that I can’t keep up. Heck, I have been called a noob at least three times this week; and that was by a 2012 player. We are whatever others see us as.

The question is how do we see ourselves. We market Appetite 4 Destruction as a small gang null sec corporation that’s sole purpose is to destroy everything and everyone. We don’t care how you get the kill mail; just get it. The only rules are, don’t throw your ship away, fighting is fine, ganking is fine, just keep your efficiency up and don’t make everyone else look like an idiot. Stay on coms, and be respectful to each other.

Here is the really good thing about A4D: You can camp, you can roam, you can gank, you can brawl, you can use black ops, you can use logistics, and you can do anything you want as long as you get the kill mail. For instance, today our dayshift was gate camping most of the day. They like it, they are good at it, and it gets results. Today’s day shift netted 5 BC, 1 Cruiser, 3 Destroyers, 15 Frigates, 25ish pods.

Unfortunately for me, since I prefer to roam verses sit on a bubble, I did not get on any of these kickass killmails. In fact, the only time I logged any substantial time was on after the day shift logged out and the night shift logged in. Here is that story.

We looked at Eve Map to see what glowing and where we could find targets. We noticed a few orange dots across the South Eastern part of the map. To cover this much ground we would have to go small and fast. We decided assault frigates with a few other random frigates thrown in.

We took off through RMOC way but all the usual suspects weren’t active, WRG, SS, and L&H were just not active. We traveled through Catch and eventually ended up in Immensea, our first destination nothing. We went to the secondary waypoint and again nothing, but the THIRD waypoint, a Megathron jumped into us.

He went down in about 30 seconds…in fact, he went down so fast. I figured something was up. Basically he had just purchased the thing and it wasn’t fit yet. DAMN. Anyway, we killed him but it was just a gank. We moved further down the pipe this time it took us to Detroid region. We decided to visit Waterboard’s old stomping ground.
1 Kill 0 Losses

We found that Cascade had their carebear grounds here…cool. Our scout said, Gila, Onyx, Ishtar, and Oracle on scan at the station. Our FC gave him the order to jump into SY-UWN and see what was there. The peoples champ Bullmastiff jumped in and saw that he had followed the Ishtar in. He pointed the Ishtar and they began to fight.

As ordered we all jumped in, warped a short warp to SY-. While in warp, Bull says “neuted lost point on Ishtar. Ashimu on field established point on Ashimu.” We flood local and the Ishtar warps instantly. We manage to jam out the Ashimu with the Kitsune and kill the Cruiser with zero losses.

Although it was getting late, we decided to hit one more hot spot. We set waypoint out of Detroid and headed toward Wicked Creek. As we hit our destination spot, a random shuttle jumped in to use and gave our position away. Our intel had confirmed that our gang had indeed had hit their radar screen. We decided to pack it in and head home.

Within two jumps we got lucky again, a Maelstrom jumped in to us. We swarmed him like a hive of angry bees. Although he managed to get back to the gate, we had plenty of tackle to get him on the other side. Within seconds he uncloaked and was scrambled, and webbed. In another thirty seconds are so we dispatched the Maelstrom.
