I am currently training an alt for several different things. One of the first things I know I am training him for is to use him as a booster. My question is, should I be skilling towards command ships or T3's? I have HEARD that command ship boosters can be used in big fleet fights and T3's are better off sitting in a POS or in a good safe spot.

T3's give more boost, so since I was going to be using him off grid anyway, I was leaning that way (much faster skill training is also very nice). However, I wanted to hear your opinions on the matter.

I sort of have some long (very) term plans for the alt and it in the end, I'd have Command ships and T3's, but I like to break it down into shorter plans, so I need to know which direction I should take first.

Thanks in advance guys!

Go command ships, you can use more links besides the main 3. They have the powergrid, cap and CPU to go to the full 7 links.

Also CCP has already said that it makes no sense that T3s give a bigger boost than Command Ships and this will likely be changed/switched around in the near future.

So if boost is the goal I'd always go for command ships.

Apart from the aforementioned switch between CC's and T3 boost bonuses, I wouldn't be suprised if CCP remove off-grid boosting in the near future.

Not heard anything about it mind, but it seems a logical step.
