im getting an error appon login to sisi. ive tired all the troubleshooting procedures that i know. what does this mean?

Traceback (most recent call last):

__doc__ = '\n This is the entry point into the launcher, it handles setting up the working\n directory, logging and finally importing and starting the laucher within a\n log-proof try/exeception clause so we can catch almost any exception and display\n an error message.\n'

it gives a ton more.. but the forum will not let me post it.. due to the fact its HTML... any ideas?

i'm really interested in knowing what this error could be, maybe you could post the top of that message here. as much as the forums allow, that could help me find the problem

From reading that error you sent me, i think you have an older version of the launcher. If you download and run this patch, you should hopefully be able to start the launcher after that

I got the same error as the OP while updating the Sisi client

Link to the exact error message - http://pastebin.com/m7i1T2SC

Tried Repair tool. It just made me download a 200mb patch but didn't fix anything.

Tried the patch you linked, but it gave the same error as linked above.

Would be nice if this issue could be fixed soon.

It seems the error the launcher is displaying is simply not showing what the problem is... I found from the errors posted that the server is being spelled wrong in the eve shortcut.

ie. Singlariy instead of Singularity, note the missing "t" in the former

so if you try to connect to the wrong server, you get an obscure error. I'll fix that next time we do an update.

Same here. I've checked the spelling in the shortcut, and it's the correct one.

I don't always post on the forums, but when I do, I prefer posting with my main.

I'm not able to get on SISI eithe

Followed the directions exactly as per the Eve-Wiki sit
Created a new folder, copied everything over and named the shortcu
Fired it up and it goes to patch "349261" and it errors out. Tried to run the manual patch and get the same error. Note that Eve-Tranquility runs fine and I have it spelled CORRECTLY in the shortcut
but the error message says something abotu "SINGULARIY"

an error message.\n

Found what was wrong, it was the TQ->SISI patch that had the incorrect spelling, so the bad grammar was my fault.

i fixed it and published a new TQ->SISI patch, but here is also a link: http://content.eveonline.com//349261/evepremiumpatch349261-SISI2.exe

Still not working for me Sad

The new patch installs without giving any error messages, however, after completion, it loads up the EVE Launcher which goes into an infinite loop on step 1 (Creating EVE_Online_344784-349261.patch). The progress moves from 0 to 15% slowly, and after that it jumps to 25% and then back to 0%.

Running the patch installer again doesn't help, and results in the same infinite loop with the launcher. Trying to manually run the EVE client with /server:Singularity gives me a message to download the patch again as if it had never finished installing.

EDIT: After letting the infinite loop run for a while (about 10 mins), it terminates with the launcher saying 'Client update was unsuccessful' and the following message : http://pastebin.com/5sk8nysD
