I can't activate my corps forum. It asks if I'm sure I want to create one, I click yes and my browser says its loading. Then back to forum home page. Wait 10 minutes clear cache, check for forums and nothing. Repeated a second to and same results. Any ideas?

I've activated our corp forums and made a post but not all members can actually see posts I like in the General Discussion section, which is open to all members unless I'm mistaken.

For some the link doesn't work in the IGB and gives 404 while still working in external browsers, for others they cannot see the posts at all.

WoW holds your hand until end game, and gives you a cookie whether you win or lose. EVE not only takes your cookie, but laughs at you for bringing one in the first place...

Some future thought:

  • SubForums
  • Ability to manually manage Read/Writte access for those SubForums over the Ingame Titels(Roles).
  • Communication Officers should have writte access to the announcement area and moderation rights in for them viewable areas.
  • Public Area for e.g. Diplomacy and recruitment needs.

And of course a alliance board with all the juicy corp board stuff with an additional high command area for only the ceos. Cool

Consider this a formal request--NPC corps would like corporate forums too. I know in CAS we would make immediate use of this in a myriad of ways to benefit our community--promotion of events, dissemination of information. coordination of activities. You want to focus on the "new player experience"? Stop tying the hands of people and communities on the front lines of exactly that. ;)

Open Invitation to CCP-types: Feel free to contact me or spend some time in CAS chat asking about everything we regularly have going on and how/why a forum would be a boon to those efforts.

I saw your web people on fanfest and felt a bit sorry for them getting so much heat over time with the new forums and new websites.

Knowing this delete /= delete, my sympathy for them is once again gone up in smoke.
No wonder the moderators here cannot see the forrest through the trees. Ugh

In any case have them move the deleted threads to a "deleted" thread so its out of your immediate way and you gain oversight. Jebus!

I like this. One less site for my members to deal with is a good thing. Time will tell if we see more forum participation from this.

I agree with the posts above about more sections. The most specific one I can think of is one a section for cap pilots. Most corps/alliances keep sensitive information about cap movements and tactics in a separate forum section which is only accessible by pilots who actually use cap ships. If there was a way to accomplish this then this feature would be near perfect.

thank you ccp. I dont like player run websites because of the inherent risk that comes with cookies, java, flash, and giving away your IP. no other MMO company that i know of offers this. 0/
