Delete ecm and let the solo and small gangs run free and far never having to get a blob together unless theres a blob to fight :)

To make mining Profitable and fun to do, similar to Ratting.

Currently it's neither fun, nor profitable, i have more fun ratting, and i make 2 to 3 time more isk.

How do you propose to make mining more fun? Whack-An-Asteroid minigame? Why not just make it more fun client-side (with alcohol and narcotics for example) or better yet why not find an activity you do find fun and stick with that instead?

but this is one of the things I like most about eve, the fact the community balances out the ideas of the company running the game.

Sure they code the game but the players make the game, the universe and the rich twisted history eve has.

Player based economy, the only ways to make mining more profitable is either to increase the requirement for ore or decrease the supply.
Unfortunatly, if you do this more people will come and mine so it'll ballance out.

Mining isn't supposed to be fun or profitable, it's the starter skill, that everyone can do, some just don't realise this.

I disagree - make the rewards worth the risk and they'll come. Life's just too cushy in High right now.

My ship-splosion and revamp idea in conjunction with some of the original concepts CCP had for changing the ship trees, which not only makes the game more player retentive by giving newbs more meaningful ships early on as well as bringing back small gang warfare by giving every ship size it's own logi ship to play with so that you can run smaller fleets without needing to find 2+ people that have perfect logi skills.

The new logi break down will make it more accessible then 5 months of training for the current logi ships, T2 will still be better, but T1 logi ships will make being one way more accessible thus allowing pretty much anyone with some RR skills the ability to do a decent job for a cheap small gang of frigs or cruisers =D

Oh and for kicks, here's another new idea I hadn't made in that post:

New indy size variations...
Remove the indy skills as we know them now and make them into generic skills like BC and dessy. The new line up of industrial will be done based on ship size and will have better cargo space accordingly.
The "frigate" indsutrial should be flyable by trial accounts and only carry maybe 1,000m3 or so.

destroyer indies can hold 5,000
crusier indies can hold 10,000
BC indies can hold 50,000
BS indies can hold 100,000

and then you finally have a way for the tree to lead right into the freighters

Each of these new sizes will of course have their own T2 variations, one BR and one DST that require that ship size racial skill at 5 as well as the indy skill at 5

example of a BC sized indy for amarr:
Requires:
*Amarr Battlecruiser 1
---Amarr Cruiser 4
------Amarr Destroyer 4
---------Amarr Frigate 4
*Industrial 1
---Industry 4

T2 version of the ship:
*Amarr Battlecruiser 5
---Amarr Cruiser 4
------Amarr Destroyer 4
---------Amarr Frigate 4
*Industrial Ship 5
---Industry 4
*Transport Ships 1
---Spaceship Command 3
---Industry 5


....okay on second thought remove their association with the combat ship size skill and make a new set of skills for each one small, small improved, medium, medium improved, and large

expecting people to train the combat version of the ship sizes would suck for them and be messy for reimbursement upon implementation of a system like this...but you get the idea...

I'd remove sec status loss from aggresion in losec.

Give people more places to pvp in unclaimable/unbubbled NPC space without screwing sec status (that requires a pve grind to fix) would get more people into losec.

The one change that I would like to see as it would have the most immediate and noticeable effect for me would be to have the ability to delete SP as I see fit.

That Mining 2 is really starting to annoy me as it's the only non combat skill on an otherwise perfect skill sheet. And my Rorqual pilot's skill sheet would be so much tidier without frig 3 and gunnery/Small hybrid 1 standing out like a sore thumb.

This change would affect nothing in game but my personal obsessive compulsive desire for making things aesthetically pleasing.

Do it CCP. Do it now!
