Hey all,

I wanted to write a little bit about something that has been troubling me.

It was the GHSC event that got me to start in Eve. I didn't last long, I was a little lost.

It was a few external forums talking about in game events, and the BoB/Goonswarm war details I read after the event that got me to come back.

It's the awesome people I have found in my Corp and Alliance (Shout out to Verran, SF and 4m. Go RP!) that is going to keep me this time. The cameraderie in our recent war. The shared loss and shared victory. My first ever Pos bash. Woot!

And those we were at war with, some die hard PvP'ers. They were harsh. They used dirty tricks in game, just like us. We snuck up on them. One of them snuck into an intel channel. Small gang warfare and skirmishes. We lost ships. They lost ships.

I learned a lot.

There wasn't a moment it wasn't fun. And the guys in the other corp, evil fighters that they are, are probably really nice guys IRL. But I hates them in game. I hates them!

If i met them IRL i'd probably buy them a drink, nerd about Eve, and laugh up some of the events.

I see a lot of agression in game. I see alot of wars, of assaults, attack in games. We all see it. Guile, Deceit, Manipulation, Piracy. These areall parts of the game.

Parts that drew me here.

I'm a little bit put off from some of the stuff that Im seeing.

CSM isnt an ingame thing. It's a mode of player feeedback I appreciate.

Mittens is the Evil uberdirector of Goonswarm (BOOO HISS! Evil i said!)

However Alexander Gianturco is a guy who, like many others of the CSM, and other candidates, seems to really be passionate and care.

Im sure, given the chance I woudl pod the crap out of The Mittani, if only for ahving 'The' at the front of his name.

The Alexander guy, he doesnt seem all bad.

Riverini: I dont really know him In game. Maybe hes a low sec pirate (boo hiss). Maybe he scas people out of Titans. Booo!

I know it would be cool to hang out with Enrique Jose Rivera Azofeifa in Panama.

Mark Heard, a fellow game designer, and has a pretty cool blog. Kept with the game after leaving CCP. Thats pretty cool.

Robert Woodhead with his awesome history would be great to talk with, and sounds like a pretty cool guy.

I could go on for each person...

Why am i rambling? Why AM I rambling. (Jason get to the frakking point!)

The point is, I have seen a lot of RL nastiness. Stuff i really dont like seeing. I have seen racism, sexism, mysoginy and predjudice. Sexual Orientation and Disability used as weaposn. That is incredibly uncool.

It isn't in game strategy. This is RL nastiness. And it's that sort of stuff that can really turn off people who might want to be part of the community.

I know you don't want that.

I don't know what, if anything, this could acheive. Probably nothing. Just feels good to try.
