So, No shinannigans, there I was knee deep in a C3... When I found a POS. This POS has 22 ships floating in it, and after contacting the CEO we found out the all members of that corp were recently podded out.

Now we are waiting for the POS to go offline and we are going to tear it to shreds. Especially those ships. Nothing wrong with padding KB's... right?

This is where my question comes in...

The ships are floating inside the POS with no pilots. POS goes offline, we want to add those ships to our killboards. Can we do that? Are there killmails for ships with no pilots?

I heard rumor there may be a time limit on that, I.E. If there has been no pilot in the last 48 hrs there will be no KM, or something like that.

TL;DR - Do I get killmails for blowing up this guys ships that hes not in at the moment?

No KM's.

Have you tried to sell the entrance to the Ceo? Bubble the entrance and get your KM that way instead.

Killboard satisfied and a billion isk in your wallet can't be too shabby can it?

Don't know about the time limit. What I do know is that I recently blew up a shuttle and the wreck from it (hiding the evidence) after someone ejected from it and I got a killmail for that.

er, yes there will be KMs.
the only ships that will not give KMs are any that drop from SMAs you pop.

Confirming there will be killmails if u blow up unpiloted ship.

The ship has to belong to someone tho, meaning there has been pilot sitting in that ship.

No kill mails without a pilot, but won't you be interested at least harvesting the gear from the ships you can board?
They might be worth something once the POS goes offline.

This. KB padding is nice and all, but stealing someones entire fleet?

Thats how you get some juicy tears.

An easier way to ****-up....err pad your killboard would be to make an alt, buy him a ship, blow him up, and recycle to a new alt after a while.

That doesn't negatively effect anyone but myself. Pointless.

On your overview, right click on the empty ship in the POS. In the drop down menu find the Pilot entry, if you mouse over that you will see that you can Show Info on the pilot, add him to your contact list and EVEN give him ISK. That means the ship was once occupied by a Pilot instead of just being assembled and ejected. So if you kill that ship without the pilot being in it, IT WILL GENERATE A KILL MAIL.

I repeat, a ship WILL generate a killmail if it has been piloted after being assembled.

WH ships are often fitted with dead space / faction moduals. Since you're only interested in padding your killboard, and not getting into a good fight, why not loot the ships before you blow them up?. Personally I like the idea of selling the location of the WH to the CEO of the corp and then bubbling the WH, but that would involve you and your lot shooting at something that can shoot back and something tells me you're risk adverse...
