EVE is not dying. Dang!

CCP is re-designing it to make it as easy as Farmville for the newbies.
It is easier to take money from a non-connaisseur than to try to convince one that knows about it.

Hell the CCP CEO saved me from quiting when he sent that heart felt letter saying he and CCP screwed up via whole Pants/monoculu fiasco. It was not the CSM that saved us from playing with virtual SPACE BARBIE DOLLS it was the solo player who canceled their account and the JITA/AMARR riots!!!

Please do some research first before posting incorrect statements.

Referring to WiS as 'playing with virtual Space Barbie Dolls' is reminiscent of an adolescent mentality. WiS was not the reason for the mass unsubs.

The Incarna Expansion failed to deliver the WiS that was promised years ago known as Ambulation. The resulting lack of content in the Incarna Expansion was the catalyst which combined with resulting events and previous in-game problems ended up being 'The straw that broke the Camel's back'.

Those mass unsubs were due to a lot of different things listed here in no particular order.

The 1001 Papercuts thread - large list of various broken game mechanics and unfinished content since 2003.
Numerous expansions constantly being rushed out 1/2 finished and bugged breaking existing content.
CCP introducing NEX Store and MT - selling overpriced items for real money bypassing player production.
Threat of 'Gold Ammo' and 'Gold Ships' enabling 'Pay to Win' exploitation.
CCP dividing development resources working on 3 different projects at same time.
The leaked memo 'Fearless Newsletter' - Greed is good.
CCP statement of Eve Online viewed as the Golden Goose.
Forcing 3rd party programs to pay real money for providing Eve Online applications.
CCP failure to maintain promise of 'Commitment to Excellence'.
Showing players 'The Door' and removing option of choice, forced participation.
CCP attempting to diffuse the situation with excessive thread locking and banned accounts.
Lack of communication resulting in poor Public Relations due to ignoring the player base.
Releasing poorly written unoptimized code in a major expansion resulting in client side issues.
Hilmar's statement - "Watch what they do, not what they say."

Basically Hilmar's statement became the rally cry for the mass unsubs.

Those unsubs combined with a large loan payment being due and bad press resulted in CCP downsizing and placing some of their other projects on the back burner for a while. CCP's 'change of direction' to concentrate on the many issues plaguing Eve has been long overdue which the game desperately needed. While it definitely helped bolster CCP's falling reputation with the player base, it was probably more of a 'knee-jerk' reaction to the whole situation.

Reading over the list of candidates for CSM 7 has brought a few sad truths about EVE to light, for me at least. Year after year, CCP brings little innovation to the players in high-security space.

Orca, Incursions, concord response times, Epic Arcs, new exploration sites...
You're right! CCP is completely ignoring highsec!

I really hope ccp notices the highsec kids who whine and moan for changes and dont notice the changes when they get them

Compaired to the first pvp expansion, Crucible, in ages... where they got tons of praise for

"War declarations are never officially considered griefing and are not a bannable offense, and it has been repeatedly stated by the developers that the possibility for non-consensual PvP is an intended feature." - CCP

I've been in Eve since 2005, and ever since then I've been seeing Chicken Little posts saying Eve is dying. Just sayin'.

WHO cares when EVE is dying, I spend a good time with my friends in this game, it is not about the game it is about the community. Like f**** Facebook a totaly bulls**** but how many people use it ? LOT
So EVE will stay maybe we will leave, but so long you have friends here you will play and complain (little masochistic) this is the biggest brain wash of social community lie :)

EVE never dies !!!!!!
