Scamming in game (although i think it ruins the game) is all fine and dandy. But to scam votes (ppl like darius, and im sure ppl like mittani etc do it too) is going a bit too far. Surely CCP you dont allow this too? Making a mockery of the an already flawed system.
CCP ffs start putting some rules around this. Jeez its probably the most abused, corrupt, dodgy and manipulative voting system i have ever seen,
Having to scam your way onto the CSM? Really?

EvE is a dodgy, corrupt, and abusive place. Par for the course is what it is. Since when did *.* scamming become part of EvE? Since ever.

Why not ? O_o

Scams add character to the game. There's no real reason this shouldn't be allowed,
even Vote-Scams. Hell ... people get manipulated and lied to all day long in reallife too.

You're ignoring the fact that there wouldn't be any scammers if there weren't any idiots falling for them.

It does mean that they were elected by silly people believing hollow promises.

Sound familiar much?

Its time to stand up against the bad empire based CEO telling falsehoods about what new characters can accomplish and pushing them towards an in game experience of drudgery and loneliness keeping them in the shadow of ignorance for at nest their own profit at worse apathy towards all the experiences that Eve has to offer.

CSM is a classic example of taking a game too damn seriously that's why I won't even bother voting.

Scamming your way in sounds like earning it the hard way.

It also sounds like pretty good reasons why scammers should vote for him. One of their own.

I take far greater exception to the mail-spamming Trebor is doing, what a jerk.

Yes.
This is actually pretty much how it works in real life too.
Different scam, same outcome.

The rules of EvE make it perfectly fine to scam for votes.
Are you able to give an actual reason as to why it shouldn't be allowed ?
A real reason. Not "it's unacceptable". That's no reason, that's just your opinion.

Don't ignore the fact that it's still the people in CCP who have the last say anyway,
so even if the greatest idiot of all time would be in CSM, it probably wouldn't make a difference.
(there's a pun and an insult in there ... maybe you can spot it. :)

Scamming in game and of in game assets is allowed.

The CSM is arguably part of the game, and hence the votes are just another asset that Darius is scamming us out of.

No no no, im sorry but i cant agree with this. Scamming your way onto the CSM is not on, sorry but its not.. It just makes a mockery of the whole thing...

So you are saying, a person who has scammed their way onto the CSM, without legit votes from players that feel they actually represent them, and could potentially have an impact on how eve evolves, which in turns effects your gameplay, which YOU PAY for, is ok?

Im sorry but when i am paying a monthly sub, i dont appreciate some scamming mofo effecting my gameplay OVERALL.

Yes, it does.
It doesn't wonder me that you're not realizing it, though.

Never wondered why politicians need others to write their speeches ?
Never heard of Neurolinguistic programming ?

Never realized that politicians are quite picky about what they are saying
and that they often actually say nothing, although they use plenty of words ?

Never ever heard a politician lie ?

Never noticed that politicians give goodies before the next soon-to-come election ?

Or think of Obama.

"YES WE CAN!!" ... one of the bigger scams.
It manipulated the feelings of the people in a quite awesome way ... and he won.
Totally understandable that he won ... he did the right thing at the right time.

But did it really change anything ? No.

Politics nowadays is about manipulating the masses.
That's no conspiracy, that's just how it works nowadays.
