Hey - me too! I always wondered how people chewing with their mouths closed can breathe.

Dude, you cracked me up with your comment, lol Gave you a like for it. ;)

Why thank you - I found it refreshing to have a dev admit most of them are mouthbreathers too. CCP feels like family to me now.

Six people on the forums does not a game kill.

Eve is doing fine, for precisely the reason you just mentioned: No one else can do it. People have tried to tackle the space market, and failed miserably. Until someone comes along who can even come close to delivering on the level Eve has, they can experiment and toy with ideas all they want.

Eve's not going anywhere for a long, long time and I'm ok with them working on other projects. Trying new things is how you expand you knowledge base. Things learned here will be used in WoD and Dust. Things learned in WoD and Dust will be applied here.

You sound very self assure.

I wish to correct you on the fact thought, that Eve, isn't about the space market anymore. They aren't marketing the game for space players.

The game is trying to become a "Virtual Life" of sorts, and PLENTY of company's are way ahead of CCP in that respect, see Nex rollout for a prime example if how CCP should have done things right, but didn't .

Or what about Incarna? The brand new engine that burns video cards with a single non-destructible room. Less FPS than full action FirstPShooters? Rushed out content to encourage M/T sales?

You may be right that CCP had the market once upon a time. But you might want to rethink your "hunky dory eve and seeseepee" statements.

CSM have concerns with the game, and they know alot more than you.
Players are leaving, and PCU is down. There's no denying that. Six people only on this forum? No wonder nobody replied to you, they probably stopped reading after that line. Roll

No there isn't. Just when you fail at it you have to come up with other things to fill the void.

Not marketing the game to space players? Really? How so? I mean, considering the entire breadth of the game's action is set in space and that every trailer is about being in space.

You're right, though. A single, glitchy, optional part of a game is surely the sign of it's impending doom. I mean, my god, captains quarters is such an important element. It's not like there's a button to turn it off, or anything. One rushed element is going to be the demise of what is approaching a decade of gaming, clearly.

You insistence that player fluctuations somehow equate to signs of the end times is laughable. Subs go up. Subs go down. It happens. Especially during times of high unemployment and market turmoil in the real world. Waitresses don't make as much money as they used to, either. I'm sure that's a shining example of how restaurants are a dead concept.

I can appreciate your willful attempt at misinterpretation by ignoring context, but even by troll standards, that wasn't very good.

Exactly, I thought that was the eventual intention for EVE, to make it become the quintessential sci-fi simulator, and that includes a lot more than flying in space. Don't get me wrong, there are multitudes of issues in FiS that need major addressing and I let larger voices continue to beat that drum on my behalf. Whatever your opinion of incarna, present, and it's eventual planned impact to the game, it all will eventually tie into a greater whole.

I for one look forward to seeing what is to come for EvE, with a mix of anticipation, and optimism. That opinion may be rare on these forums, but it is what it is.

I laugh that you think anybody at CCP will care about Eve once WoD hits. Eve will be where they send all the newb developers to fix little bugs in a game they are no longer developing.

But of course you are right. Long live Eve, and CCP, the white knights of the gaming world!!!!!!!

I'm sure. Then, while we sleep, they'll slink into our bedchambers ever so slyly and diddle us, because they are evil and cannot be trusted.

You could be right, the same has been true about just about every other MMO studio in the past, if history repeats itself with CCP, you may as well stick a fork in this game now before it becomes overcooked and completely unpalatable.

Folks, there's a good chance that they paid CCP *truckloads* of cash to do that project.

I want truckloads of cash. To solve this, let's have everyone on this forum paypal me $10, after which, I'll somehow have $2 in my paypal account.

Gosh!

I really dont mind having nice little dresses and stuff, its kinda fun (though not as much as real Eve gameplay)

BUT

this video... In real life Im sort of a fashion victim myself and I fancy saying I have some taste at least.

THIS video however doesnt even have any trace of taste in it. At best you could describe the dress shown as unspecial or boring. And creating that skullface model... Do you really think such a thing is cool around here? Because we are all some geeky pesky internet nerds that love evil looking skull faces and wouldnt understand some decent fashion?

Its one of the most disgracing things Ive ever seen done by CCP and that means a lot, recent events considered. ^^

Yay 10 years! :D

This IS the company making WOD, so...

The answer to your question is... If not us, then the people who will be really really (and I mean really) into that stuff, i.e. the ideal demographic for an MMO about vampires.

I still dont dig it. Espacially for this vampire game it will be crucial for CCP to get designers work on serious and fancy fashion. They should talk to people with a firm hold on the fashion world, who have sold their stuff all over the world for years.
And not some smart ass nobody trying to invent some sort of imaginative uber-cool other world fashion, that no person in their right minds would ever come to like.

Yay 10 years! :D
