wtf, seriously :/

The content of the devblog: we remove tiers and make unused ships useful again, and streamline the skill progression to make more sense.

Net effect to new players: easier to plan training, the ships they can fly don't suck.

Net effect to old players: a huge amount of essentially new ships to make everything more interesting.

I'd roll a new alt, if I didn't already have more than I need :P

You must have read some fake devblog on one of those disreputable rumour sites then, because the only one posted here mentioned that the TTT (time to titan) was reduced by, at most, roughly 20 days… Now correct me if I'm wrong, but it takes a bit more than 6½ months to get into a titan.

It actually takes 6 months 18 days, but that is just to sit in one, nothinng else.

Personally im not sure how i feel about the ship line changes described in last dev blog. As i am one of those guys who can fly any subship. And if i will have to retrain a bunch of skills just to fly ships that im already able to fly, it will be quite annoying.

But as it was mentioned in blog, its a work in progress and i will wait for more detail description of how they want to implement these changes.
