We're gettoug out of hi-sec and learning how to fly our ships like warriors instead of victims. Hell, some of us will probably wind up *in* TEST at some point - which means you're mocking the folks training your future alliance members.

Anyway, we're having fun - So we're going to keep doing it.

Tell someone you love them today, because life is short. But scream it at them in Esperanto, because life is also terrifying and confusing.

Romar is there anyone in STI I can talk to that has some leadership senses or charisma? Been trying to get STI and SAK on board but I fear I'm getting the same story with CAS' attempts to establish a network with FNA.

Your comment and other guys posting like you are the reason why everyone around really thinks you guys are unworthy by all means.
I know some Goons that are awesome people, you're obviously not one of them.

Isnt Test like the second worst rated pvp allaince ever in terms of combat efficency? I'm mean as horrific thier combat capabilities it almost sounds like they got sabator agents at FC level at least leading the whole bunch into defeat. Its nearly impossible for an entire allaince to be that bad.

Dunno it seems that Goonswarm shoved all of the puppies into the Test alliance and are preparing to kill them all off. Like lemming sheep to the slaughter.

For all of you who are worried that I'm breeding a generation of pilots that all they do is stay in SWA, I will have to call your fears unfounded. Most players who fly with us, typically find a corp to fit their shoe within a month or two and once they leave SWA we then try our best to get them placed in a good home somewhere if they where dissatisfied with their first selections. I am more than willing work with alliances on this matter once a pilot leaves the nest. This however is a major problem in itself for me because it really cuts down on my own staff numbers. Also there is a slight chance it may be a security issue but its unlikely unless you disgruntle your own pilots that much at that point you deserve it.

I'm now trying to get my XO sent off to Eve Uni to attend classes and Agony Unleashed as well to attend their seminars.

I'm sorry, no, I'm not too active within the STI, especially as I'm basically an industry alt.

I already played for a while but lack PVP experience - something like the SWA PVP Division would have come in handy back then, and nowadays I would gladly support such an endeavour.

A roam in two parts

Part 1:
Fleeted up, with some confusion. Sgt. Martin had the lead, and this was his first real fleet command - It showed. But still, he got it together efficiently enough, and we set out. Not a huge blob, just a dozen or so of us in various sizes from frigate to (IIRC) BC; heavy on the frigates.

We bopped through a number of systems, not finding much of interest, until a Slicer showed up on our back door. Our rear scoute tried to hold him whilst the fleet reversed and warped back to him - Not fast enough. Our rear guard got melted, and we arrived just as his killer warped off. After a short while trying to tempt the Slicer back into range, we moved on. The Slicer pilot was pro, and wasn't biting on our bait, nor was he making any mistakes.
*shrug*

Moving on... With the certain knowledge that our roam was compromised, and we had a hungry preditor stalking us. Moving carefully but rapidly, we advanced to about the halfway point in our course when Local suddenly spiked, hard. Numbers were bad, and D-scan showed we were heavily out-massed. Moving expeditiously towards the exit, we ran smack into a swarm of ships on converging courses - Tornadoes and Tengus as far as the you could scan - A classic meeting engagement. Ships burned. Those of us still alive bopped through the gate, and met the fleet that our previous foes had been coming to fight. Bubbles, lasers, and more ships melting.

Surprisingly, all the heavies popped, and the frigates got off fairly lightly, running fast and scooting for safe spots. Now the mission was E&E, and I was with three other frigs in a very small and not very potent blob. The four of us skulked from system to system, ducking, dodging, and generally made good headway. Going back was ugly, and we knew we didn't stand a chance. Forward was the same distance to safety, so we went ahead.

With some of the fleet fleeing ahead of us, we were getting solid scout reports.
Then we hit BWF.
Second to last system before we were out of the worst of it. Except BWF was bubbled like nothing I've ever seen. Every possible angle from every celestial was covered, and then some. Our scout melted. I ran in ahead of our small group, and scanned an anomaly, warping 100km out.

I found massive rats, and I turned to burn away from them, calling my fellows to join me - We were going to try to hit the gate from an unxpected angle, but the rats engaged from 135km away, and I was into armor fast. We boogied for the gate - right into a bubble. My ship popped, but I got my pod free - Not all of my comrades were that lucky. One made it out, I think - things got real confused.

Now I was trapped in a heavily-occupied system in my underwear. Oops

Eventually, after much hopping about, our formerly-melted rear scout sacc'd a ship to get into the system and show me an angle that wasn't covered. We warped out in our pods, tails firmly tucked up and under.

Not a bad run, considering - We kept it together even under surprise conditions, and the FC and XO kept their heads. Even during the E&E, folks kept their heads and stuck together. Discipline was solid and cooperation was willing and cheerful.

Part 2:
Those of us still up for action decided to go 'borrow' a system from a Nul-Sec alliance and camp one of their gates for 'em.

Mind you, we didn't ask permission for this bit of volunteerism - We were looking for trouble. Not as much traffic as we'd hoped for, and a lot of it was very cautious. Dunno why - Just 'cause there were 10 ships in system with similar names? Naaah.

Ships popped through the gate, cloaked, and snuck off. We didn't have enough to bum-rush the gate, so we let a lot of potential victims escape. Then we got a solid bite - Our bait ship got points on an Arazu, and we bounced him HARD. Nine of us on the KM, and it wasn't a quick clean kill, but down he went. We let the pod go.

Much cheering and happy banter in chat. Then back to positions, and try again. And again. And again. All to no avail. The word may've gotten out - Or maybe we just picked a gate where only the most paranoid went through. Who knows? *shrug*

Local spiked again, hard - The Owners had twigged to our presence, and was coming for us. We skeedaddled. They chased. We boogied. They bull-dogged. We reversed course. They went shooting right on past and kept on going. We giggled - And went right back to our camping positions.

More frustration - Pilots were being real cautious and we weren't getting any bites - then a frieghter came to the gate, escorted by a Tengu, and we pounced! Have you ever seen a big man being harrassed by a buncha Doberman puppies? That's about what we looked like. We eventually dented his shields, but he was slowly limping closer and closer to the gate, and never engaged us - his job was fairly obviously to escort that freighter, and he wasn't letting us puppies get in the way of duty. Impressive self-control. Or maybe he was laughing too hard to engage.
Whatever.

We giggled, and tried our best, but just didn't have the throw-weight, and he gated out That was pretty much the last action, and we disbanded the camp about an hour later, going our various ways.

Pretty fun evening, all told.

After action report: Operation MOSQUITO

It was time I dusted off my father's fleet command suit and gathered a group of new pilots to explore the free lands of null sec space. I rallied together a small band of SWA pilots for a hit and run frigate operation. The fleet mostly consisted of T1 frigates, some newer and some older capsuleers.

A short route was planned due to time restrictions and the fleet was formed. The first null sec systems we entered were well populated with pilots exploiting the bottlenecks leading into null security space. The first systems were scouted and an interceptor was quickly located, the order was given to move in and engage. Weapons hot and hull plating rattling under the pressures of warp speed, the swarm of frigates sped towards the targets location guns at the ready. Mid-flight I received a troubling transmission from our scout – two T3 cruisers have arrived on grid to assist their interceptor affiliate. Knowing the target was close to the gate and that we were warping into a fight out gunned, the order is given to jump straight through on arrival to avoid a catastrophe. The group came to rest amongst the enemy cruisers and wasted no time approaching the gate. The cruisers locked our frigates and charged rounds grazed the hulls of our ships. Most of us are too fast to be hit at such close range and fly beneath the cruisers guns to safety or through the gate. Two of our squad members’ frigates were torn into pieces by well-placed hits and an escape pod quickly was dispatched. The forward scout was into armour and heroically holding position on the interceptor while the fleet moved to safety. The fleet re-grouped and after a quick assessment of local forces the order was given to carry on with our planned route.

Local population dropped to nil as the fleet pushed further into the route, and for a few brief moments the battle fatigued pilots could take in the vast views of the frontier. Perhaps one day they would call this place home. The fleet came to rest and was briefed on our exit strategy to empire and the two systems ahead, which were known to be heavily populated with targets. While aligning to gate a transmission was received from the forward scout “activity on gate”. The order to tackle was made and the fleet warped to position. A lone Sabre was on scene and had deployed a warp disruptor bubble. Still being too far away to tackle and the destroyer bearing down on the frigate fleet, the order was given to regroup. No sooner did the warp drives of the fleet power down then the order was given to intercept the destroyer on our terms. The fleet aligned and sped towards the destroyers last known position. On arrival I expected a Sabre on my targeting computer, however the destroyer was now off grid - and a Drake sat in its place. The battle cruiser pilot wasted no time in deploying its drones. I pinned down the drake while the fleet made good their escape. The fleet warped away to re-group, one ship was lost and I sat locked alongside the battle cruiser hull to hull in the grips of each other's point. Slowly the Drake wore through the armour of my assault frigate and left behind only a field of debris and a burnt escape pod. I quickly aligned to safety and warped away just as the Sabre arrived back on grid to catch the end of the skirmish.

All that was left was to push forward. Our new ‘friends’ were eagerly searching us out and I relayed new waypoints to the fleet. No time to wait - the interceptor appears on grid, the pilot paid close attention to our alignment when we disengaged. The order to immediately jump is made the swarm of frigates disperses into space.

With the threat left behind we find ourselves in what is supposed to be a very hostile system, but with no one in local, a sort of quiet end to our outing. Our pilots fly alongside one another, their hulls once shiny now covered in scars from battle my pod not too far ahead. Chatter over the comms recounts the events of the roam, no kills were made today, but a comradery exists between these pilots and there is no doubt we will fly together again.

I'm all for you guys going out and wiping fleets, but why the hell is this crap in general discussion?
